At 5:00 pm, Lindsey appeared at the ward on time.

She pushed the door open and saw Jenny sitting by the bed with a smile. "You're here!"

Lindsey ignored her nonsense. Suddenly, Jenny stood up and said, "It's not convenient to talk here. Let's go somewhere else."

After saying that, Jenny gestured for Lindsey to walk ahead of her. "There’s a small garden at the back and there shouldn’t be anyone there at this time. Let's go there."

Jenny was smiling strangely, so Lindsey suspected that she had some kind of ploy, but she was also aware that many people passed by the ward and it was not a good place to talk.

Lindsey was not familiar with the hospital, but Jenny gave her the directions from behind and the two of them soon arrived at the small garden.

This was strange. Jenny was obviously more familiar with the way, but she wanted Lindsey to lead. Did her brain degenerate while lying in the hospital?

At this time of the day, there were not many people in the garden.

Jenny found a bench and sat down. Lindsey folded her arms and looked at her coldly.

"You're here, which means you still care about whether Zayn loves you, right?" Jenny raised her head to look at Lindsey.

"I don't care," Lindsey said directly. Even if she cared, she knew Jenny would not have the answer.

Jenny raised her eyebrows. "Oh? Then why did you come?"

Lindsey sneered and looked at her coldly. "I have something to ask you."

Jenny was cooperative. "What is it?"

"Was it you who asked someone to forge that photo of me and Shaun that went viral?" Lindsey was certain that Jenny did this and did not really want to hear her answer. She was just asking this to make her actions more justifiable later.

"So what if it is? You didn’t come here because of Zayn, but..."

"Slap!"

A crisp slap interrupted Jenny’s sentence.

Lindsey’s slap was fast, accurate, and vicious. She used almost all of her strength in it.

Jenny fell on the bench and was dumbfounded. She did not expect Lindsey to do anything to her.

By the time Jenny reacted, her face was slightly distorted. She then lunged over from the bench. "How dare you hit me?!"

Lindsey cleverly avoided her and said in a hostile voice, "Yeah, I hit you! So what?"

That slap made Jenny’s ears buzz, but this did not impede her from pouncing at Lindsey again as she could not resist the indignation in her heart.

This time, Lindsey did not dodge, but as Jenny approached her, she grabbed Jenny's arm and violently dragged her to her side, then pushed her to the ground.

Jenny fell to the ground looking like a mess.

She was stunned by the fall and her hair was all over the place. She looked at Lindsey with a terrifying expression, like a ghost from a horror movie.

Lindsey slowly walked to Jenny, squatted down, and looked at her in the eye. "This slap is for Shaun, for slandering his reputation."

Jenny looked at Lindsey with eyes full of contempt. Seeing that Lindsey was not paying attention, Jenny reached out to pull Lindsey’s hair. In response, Lindsey ruthlessly slapped her again.

"You want to fight?" Lindsey sneered and felt that her hands were a little numb from slapping Jenny so hard. "Jenny Lenig, who the hell do you think you are? Do you think I have to put up with you all the time just because you’re in Zayn’s favor?"

Even though he was mad and felt like hitting her, Zayn still asked Quentin to deliver the ointment to her.

After work, the driver asked Zayn if he wanted to pick Lindsey up. Zayn hesitated for a few seconds and finally agreed.

Whenever certain topics were mentioned between them, they would always argue. They really needed to change this behavior.

The driver got to the Hemera office lobby right about the time when Lindsey usually got off work.

Zayn's eyes were glued to his laptop, but his thoughts had drifted to Lindsey.

‘I wonder if she’s still angry...’

The number of people at the entrance of the Hemera office gradually decreased. Zayn lifted his wrist to look at the time and found that half an hour had passed.

‘Why isn’t she out yet?’

The driver saw Zayn’s concerned face and said, "Perhaps the Young Madam is working overtime."

As soon as he said that, Zayn's brow furrowed. With Lindsey's current status, Hemera should have sucked up to her, so how could she still be working overtime? Did something happen?

Zayn took out his phone and called Lindsey.

The phone kept ringing, but no one picked up until it was automatically disconnected.

Zayn patiently called again, but she deliberately hung up.

He lost all patience and said to the driver, "I'll go up and take a look."
