Chapter 191 Cut To The Chase novel Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean

"Ms. Blue, are you looking for me?" Lindsey asked politely.

Lana Blue's career was on the rise. Coupled with her relationship with Zayn, Lindsey could not treat her too badly, but she did she want to be too nice either.

There were a lot of comments online that said Lana and Zayn were the perfect match, but some others did not support their relationship because they knew that Zayn still had a wife. That was why Lindsey also gained some supporters in “Team Wife”. Team Wife would always go against Team Lana saying that Lana was a homewrecker.

Lindsey was just watching the drama unfold through her phone. She never actually felt any hatred nor jealousy for this woman, but she did not expect her to show up at her door.

When Lindsey was sizing up Lana, Lana was also doing the same to her.

Lindsey had her hair pulled up in a loose bun, which was held together by a pencil. She was also dressed simply and had a nonchalant air about her. Lindsey did not look one bit like a rich man’s wife and dressed so casually like a carefree unmarried woman.

However, the most surprising thing to Lana was Lindsey’s face. Lana had seen her fair share of stunning men and women in the entertainment industry, but she rarely came across such a beauty like Lindsey. Lindsey looked so soothing and natural, like an effortless beauty. It was just that her pair of slightly cold eyes occasionally had some unusual light flashing in them, making them quite animated.

"I hope it’s not too much of a bother for you that I came over so suddenly." Lana was also very polite and revealed a modest smile. "Are you not inviting me in?"

With her being so straightforward, most people would just invite her in out of courtesy, but Lindsey was not one to care about such things. Lindsey widened her eyes and looked at Lana. "We’re not close, so there’s no need for you to come in. Ms. Blue, if you have something to say, just cut to the chase."

Lana lost her smile. This was the first time she was rejected so blatantly.

However, to be able to get her current status, she was also a slick person. Her face stiffened for a moment but she quickly recovered. "You’re so frank, Ms. Juhl."

"Living is so tiring and pleasing myself is hard enough, so there’s no use in fake pleasantries." Lindsey looked at her pink nails as she said this. She lifted her eyelids slightly to glance at Lana. This glance carried a cold and hostile languor, which made Lana dumbfounded for a moment.

Lana thought, ‘If she’s willing to enter the entertainment industry, she’ll certainly be a big hit!’

"Ms. Blue, if you’re just dropping by because you have nothing better to do, then please show yourself out." Lindsey noticed that Lana was just staring at her without saying anything, so she ran out of patience and turned to leave.

Lindsey did not have much of an opinion for Lana. Even though she did not want to think about the slight discomfort in her heart, that did not mean she was willing to watch Lana walk all over her.

Lana returned to her senses and felt a little frustrated, but she still had her polite smile plastered on her face. “What’s the hurry? I just wanted to take a look at Zayn’s soon-to-be ex-wife. Now that I’ve seen you, you’re not all that.”

Lindsey lowered her gaze and responded indifferently. Her face was expressionless.

The old man was not at home at the moment. He had gone to the hospital for a checkup with Mrs. Wendy. No wonder Lana came at this time.

She came to prance in front of Lindsey.

Lindsey already figured it out. However, with Jenny Lenig as Lana’s predecessor, Lindsey was not bothered by Lana at all.

She had already decided to divorce Zayn, but Zayn’s tastes in women were just horrible. They had only been dating for two weeks, yet Lana was already so impatient.

"Do you want to marry Zayn?" Lindsey yawned and raised her eyes to look at Lana, but the words that came out of her mouth were incomprehensible.

Lana did not know what she meant and nodded along with her words.

"Then why are you calling from a stranger’s number? Where are you?" She was interrupted by Zayn. The worry in the man's voice was very obvious.

"I'm at home and don't have my phone with me. I'm using Shelly’s phone."

Zayn obviously did not remember who Shelly was and asked again, "Why did you go out without your phone?"

"Zayn Guggenheim! That's enough. I'm at home and I'm safe. I'm only calling because I have something to say to you." Lindsey felt that Zayn was like a naggy grandmother with so many questions.

Although she was complaining, there was no resentment on her face.

"What is it?" Only then did Zayn's tone return to its usual coldness.

The phone was on loudspeaker and the conversation between the two was clearly imprinted into the ears of the people around her. Lindsey did not notice this, but everyone around her tangibly felt that even though their conversation seemed uneventful and even a bit rambling, it was permeated with a sense of closeness that no one could interfere with.

"I just wanted to let you know that Ms. Blue came to the mansion to look for me." Lindsey finished her sentence and raised her eyes to look at Lana. "Come, speak to Zayn."

There was a cold silence on both sides of the phone for a moment. Lana did not expect Lindsey to do this and looked at her strangely.

Lindsey saw that Lana did not move and looked helpless. "Fine. Forget it."

She then said to the person over the phone, “Zayn Guggenheim, I’ve already said what I wanted to. Ask your woman to know her place and don’t cross the line.”
