"Ah!"
Zayn Guggenheim suddenly appeared behind Lindsey Juhl and looked like he wanted to eat her alive.
"Mr. Guggenheim, can you not pop out of nowhere? Do you know it can scare people to death?"
"Are you that scared of me?"
Zayn saw Lindsey's annoyed look and his fists clenched even tighter.
"Is that how you take it? I meant..."
Lindsey did not finish her sentence when Zayn suddenly pulled her over, confining her tightly in his arms. His thin lips then locked onto Lindsey's chattering little mouth.
Zayn was too domineering that Lindsey did not have time to react. She also could not fight back.
She struggled with all her might, but her force was nothing more than a tickle to Zayn.
Lindsey's lungs were almost out of breath when Zayn reluctantly let go of her.
"Zayn Guggenheim! You're f*cking crazy!"
Lindsey violently gasped for air. When she saw Zayn's calm face, she was so furious that she could not catch her breath.
"You're my woman! Have I been too lenient with you lately that you dare to be intimate with another man under my nose?"
"That's my brother!"
Lindsey knew better than anyone else that Zayn was never one to be gentle.
"So what?"
"You're impossible!"
Lindsey did not want to deal with Zayn there. She just glared at him viciously and left in a huff.
However, Zayn pulled her back and said with a fiery gaze, "Stay away from him."
"Why should I? I can't have my own career and life just because of your ridiculous demands?"
Lindsey was so aggrieved that she was about to cry.
In the past, this man ignored her, but now his attention was too excessive.
She could not even guess when he would suddenly go crazy, and she had enough of living in trepidation.
"Just because we’re married!"
"Ha! So you still remember?"
Speaking of this marriage, Lindsey only felt sorrow in her heart.
When she came out of the bathroom, Shaun walked over.
He saw her reddened eyes and asked worriedly, "Linds, what's wrong?"
"I'm fine, just a little dizzy!"
"Then you should take a rest. Let me help you."
"Okay."
She did not want to tell Shaun about what just happened as she did not want him to get involved in this mess.
Shaun needed to network a little more, so Lindsey sat in the courtyard outside the hall and downed glass after glass of wine as if it were water.
"I really underestimated you, Lindsey Juhl! Playing hard to get is a really good trick."
"What are you doing here?"
Lindsey swayed and turned around to face Jenny.
Jenny looked at this face that was somewhat similar to hers and wanted to scratch Lindsey’s face.
She looked a bit distorted as she said, "I’m just warning you. Don't be delusional! Zayn would never love someone like you."
"Is that so? Then please tell him to stop messing with me!"
Lindsey was already a little drunk. When she saw Jenny, she got even more agitated.
"Okay. I'm not leaving!"
Zayn did not have the heart to be cruel to Jenny.
She closed her eyes, tip-toed, and approached Zayn slowly. His mind was spinning, but the face that lingered in his memory was actually Lindsey’s.
"Jenny, you're drunk. Get some rest."
"Zayn..."
Jenny did not expect that Zayn would actually reject her when she took the initiative. Her tears streamed down her face in seconds.
"Zayn, I know that you don’t like me now, but back then I was forced to leave you. I really didn’t want to...so you can’t blame me. Please forgive me!"
Jenny tugged on his arm.
Her words disrupted Zayn’s thoughts as he thought of the events several years ago.
"I know, I know. Get some rest first and don’t think too much."
Zayn never comforted others, so it was very rare that he was able to be so gentle.
Jenny knew his limits and pretended to fall asleep.
She only needed to lead Zayn into thinking about the past so that he could remember how he got married to Lindsey.
It was past midnight when Zayn finally left Jenny’s house after she was completely asleep.
This was the place that Zayn specially arranged for Jenny after she returned to the country. It was very close to the office.
Zayn returned to the Guggenheim mansion in a sullen mood. He stopped in front of Lindsey’s room with some hesitation.
He peeked through the door gap into her room and with just one glance, Zayn was enraged once again.
‘That damned woman didn’t come home?’
"Bam!"
He viciously kicked the door open and his suspicions were confirmed!
