Liam took a step back and said, "I was too impulsive earlier."

Terence Moeller looked gentle and modest again. His smile hung on his face like a mask. "What are you talking about? I know there's been some unrest recently and you're probably too tired."

The maid saw that the atmosphere was better, so she brought up the brewed coffee and poured it for the guests. When the maid placed the cup of coffee in front of Ginny, Terence raised his hand to stop the maid. "My wife is pregnant, so she can't drink coffee. Please get her a cup of apple juice."

The maid quickly went down to get the juice. Liam raised his eyebrows. Terence saw it and his smile grew wider. "It hasn’t even been two months yet."

His gaze fell on Ginny's belly and was incredibly gentle, but Ginny did not look too happy about it and even looked a little pale.

Ginny was like a porcelain vase since she came in as she sat there without saying a word.

However, the two men seemed to be used to it.

"Mr. Wilford." The ‘vase’ suddenly spoke, "I heard that Lindsey’s here. Can I meet her?"

Ginny's eyes were fixed on Liam as Terence was fidgeting with her fingers on the side. Terence looked stronger with her hands intertwined in his.

Terence pretended not to hear Ginny's questioning tone towards Liam. That was when Liam realized that Terence did not come to look for him because of Liam’s attempted assassination. Terence did not care about such trivial matters at all and his real purpose was because of his wife.

What a supportive husband.

Liam looked at Ginny's pale face. He crossed his legs and leaned on the back of the sofa. "Lindsey Juhl? Apologies, but no you can’t."

His refusal was probably within Ginny's expectation because she was not the least bit surprised. Instead, she said, "If you do this, Sophie will never forgive you when she finds out."

At the mention of Sophie, Liam’s brows furrowed and he looked furious. “Sophie will never find out! Ms. Young, you like to stick your nose in other people’s business, huh? Lindsey volunteered to do it, so you have no right to speak!"

"You know better than I do whether Lindsey’s doing this willingly!" Ginny was so agitated that she sat up straight.

Terence smiled and held her in his arms. He laughed and chided her, "Look at you, why are you getting so agitated? Ms. Juhl’s your best friend, so why would Liam stop you from seeing her? Don't get angry. Think about the baby."

He moved carefully, shielding Ginny within his embrace while he smiled and glanced at Liam. "Liam, don't be bothered with Ginny. She's a little hormonal since she's pregnant."

Since Terence said this, coupled with the previous incident, Liam could not possibly turn his back on Terence just because of Ginny's words.

When Terence saw that Liam was silent, he patted Ginny’s back lightly and said, “I believe that Lindsey would have talked it out with Liam, so it’s no harm letting you visit her.”

As he said this, Terence paused for a moment and turned to Liam. "Liam, don’t you think you’re being too paranoid?"

Before Liam could say anything, Ginny retorted first. "He's obviously guilty!"

"How could that be? What is there to be guilty about if it’s a mutual deal." Terence pretended not to know the truth.

However, they were not always cordial. Last time, Liam and Terence were close to completely ripping each other apart because of Ginny. This time, this woman still did not learn what it meant to stay out of other people’s business.

Terence smoothly held Ginny in a firm, protective stance and said, “Liam, it’s not a great time for us to impose since you need to recuperate from your attack last night. We’ll just come again next time to visit you and Ms. Juhl. We’ll leave first.”

After saying that, he glanced at Liam and looked upstairs, where the doctor was examining Allie.

Terence held Ginny tightly and got up to say goodbye to Liam. "We'll head home now. Hope to see Ms. Juhl next time."

Liam did not speak and only stood up. He concealed the emotions in his eyes and said ambiguously, "There’ll be a chance for that. Goodbye."

The couple walked out of the Wilford mansion side by side. On closer look, Terence was actually dragging Ginny out.

Terence shoved Ginny into the car and went in after her, then asked the driver to start the car.

Ginny gritted her teeth and glared at Terence. “You said you’d help me see Lindsey! How is this helping me?”

Her questioning tone made the man's eyes darken and the fake smile on his face finally faded. He stretched out two slender fingers and pinched Ginny's chin. "Is this how you're supposed to talk to me?"

Looking at the anger in Ginny's eyes, Terence was suddenly amused. He bit her lips and forcefully kissed her. He then said in a slightly sarcastic tone, "If it wasn't for me, you would’ve been strangled to death by Liam Wilford earlier. Just to be clear, without me, you wouldn't even be able to enter that gate behind you, not to mention making sure that your friend’s still alive. How is this not helping you? Do you know what Lindsey means to Liam? You’re so dumb and ungrateful. What on earth did I ever see in you?"
