The old man was not angry, but he naturally exuded a commanding aura. He did not even glance at Jenny Lenig and stepped into the house with the help of Lindsey Juhl.

Jenny felt indignant over the old man’s ignorance towards her, which was in stark contrast to the warmth he gave Lindsey. Her cheeks flushed as if she had been slapped across the face.

In the past, it was this old man's interference that made Jenny choose to leave the country. Now that she thought about it, the compensation back then was no match for the entire Guggenheim family’s assets.

This time, Jenny would never let go!

Jenny's eyebrows were knitted, looking aggrieved as she asked, "Zayn, does Grandpa not like me?"

"No, Grandpa’s just tired because he just got back from his trip. It's late, I'll get the driver to send you home."

Zayn's face was cold from the time he saw Lindsey and he was in no mood to accompany Jenny.

"Didn't you just say you'd accompany me to dinner? Forget it! After all, I’m not your wife and it’s inappropriate for me to just appear at your house like this. Zayn, I’ll leave then."

After saying that, Jenny buried her head and ran out. Her shoulders hunched, looking as if she had been wronged.

She knew that Grandpa Guggenheim did not like her and if she stubbornly went into the house uninvited, it would only make him more displeased. After all, Zayn still had a lot of respect for his grandfather. Jenny thought that instead of wasting her efforts trying to please the old man, she would rather take this opportunity to guilt-trip Zayn.

Zayn was not in the mood to chase after her either. Even though he clearly understood Jenny’s intentions, he did not want to discuss it with her at this moment.

After he ordered the driver to send Jenny home, he rubbed his temples and walked into the house.

The living room was filled with smiles and laughter as the old man told Lindsey about his trip abroad.

Zayn felt excluded from this family. Lindsey did not even glance at him when he appeared with Jenny earlier. Lindsey did not seem to care at all. This thought made Zayn's eyes dim and he felt the urge to tie Lindsey up and teach her a lesson.

After the old man finished talking to Lindsey, he looked as if he had just seen Zayn and commanded, "You, follow me upstairs."

Lindsey acted as if she did not see Zayn, casually took a grape and popped it into her mouth, then spit out the skin with unparalleled precision.

Zayn felt even more frustrated.

After the grandfather-grandson duo went into the study, the old man gripped his walking cane and stood with his back to the door. As soon as Zayn entered the room, the old man said sternly, "Kneel down!"

Zayn froze. His face was indifferent and he did not move.

The old man turned and stomped the cane in his hand while he looked at Zayn with disappointment, then shouted, "I told you to kneel!"

Zayn knew why his grandfather wanted him to kneel, but he felt that he had done wrong.

"Fine. I can't control you now, huh? I might as well go to your Grandma earlier so I won’t disturb you!"

As the old man said this, he grabbed his chest and his expression was ghastly.

Zayn’s complexion also changed immediately. The indifference on his face disappeared and was replaced by worry, which was a rare look for him.

He helped his grandfather to take a seat and did not utter a word.

"You foolish boy! Lindsey’s such a good child and you don’t even like her. Instead, you choose to be with that vixen!"

The old man caught his breath, then when he spoke again, his tone was regretful and full of disappointment because Zayn did not live up to his expectations.

"Grandpa, why must you force me time and time again? Do you not know the reason she married into our family? At least compared to her, Jenny’s heart for me is pure."

Zayn's tone was indifferent. He was distressed by Lindsey's reason for marrying him.

At this moment, Lindsey had gone upstairs to inform the old man that she would be going out for a while, but she did not expect to hear Zayn's words as soon as she reached the door to the study.

Even though Lindsey was used to Zayn’s harsh words, she still felt a stabbing pain in her heart.

Shaun looked at her with a doting face, reached out to get a tissue, and handed it to her.

"Oh, it's okay. I was just worried that you’d wait for too long."

Lindsey smiled at Shaun and looked very beautiful.

“I asked you out at this hour because it’s my business partner’s birthday soon. She’s a lady, so I thought you could help me out in picking a gift for her.”

Lindsey even wanted to thank her big brother for rescuing her from the awkward situation at Zayn's house.

They quickly picked out the gift, but Shaun did not want to send Lindsey back so early.

Since Zayn did not treat her well, it was up to him to bring her happiness.

Shaun looked at the girl next to him and asked, "Linds, do you want to go to the amusement park?"

Lindsey's eyes lit up at the mention of the words “amusement park” and nodded her head incessantly.

Shaun was amused by her childish look and shook his head, then drove them to the city's largest amusement park.

The sky was almost dark, but the amusement park was still very crowded. Most of the patrons were young couples or groups of high school students. There were very few men in suits who looked as handsome as Shaun Juhl, so when the two of them went into the park, they attracted a lot of attention.

Everyone’s eyes lit up as they saw Lindsey next to Shaun because he was handsome and she was beautiful. They were a perfect match.
