The pain coming from Lindsey’s scalp was sharp and extensive that it gave Lindsey's already dizzy brain a few moments of clarity.

Lindsey struggled to open her eyes and saw Liam’s magnified face in front of her. "What did you say to Sophie?!"

Liam was so agitated. His voice was not loud, but the words seemed to be squeezed out of his throat. It was hoarse and low, and his voice even cracked at the last note.

"I didn't say anything," Lindsey replied calmly. Her heart was still beating fast and she was also a little surprised at herself that she could still remain calm at this moment.

Liam cupped Lindsey's face with his other hand. He used so much force that he almost crushed her jaw. He gritted his teeth and said, "Then why would Sophie suddenly lose control of her emotions?"

Lindsey's jaw was held by Liam and she could not speak, but she still managed to say, "She found out about all the sh*t you’ve done."

The maid also said the same thing on the phone at that time.

How could Liam forget?

Liam just needed an outlet to vent his anger. He could not accept that he was the cause of Sophie's breakdown. Liam would eventually receive retribution for all the evil things he did.

"Mr. Wilford..." A young man’s voice came from behind him. It was Andre.

Andre still had a mask on his face and looked different from the young doctor that Lindsey knew was not very emotionally intelligent. His eyes were more determined now.

Liam suddenly loosened his grip on Lindsey. There were two obvious marks on Lindsey’s cheeks from being pinched by Liam.

"Mr. Wilford, Ms. Leger's condition is very bad and she may need surgery immediately." After Andre finished, he subconsciously glanced at Lindsey who looked like a mess.

All of a sudden, Lindsey laughed.

A few strands of hair fell from her cheeks, which made her face look smaller, but the marks on her face became more obvious.

The girl who looked so weak and should have been scared to tears somehow showed some toughness.

Liam was almost driven mad by Lindsey’s laughter. His beloved woman was fighting for her life, yet Lindsey could still look at him so mockingly.

"What are you laughing at?" Liam roared.

Liam did not answer and Andre hurriedly stepped forward. "Mr. Wilford, the situation is urgent, but operating on Ms. Leger and Ms. Juhl now would have a much lower chance of success than we originally expected."

Lindsey touched her belly, as if this would give her some courage to face what was to come.

"Prepare for the surgery immediately!" Liam instantly pronounced her death sentence. Lindsey did not even think about struggling because she knew she could not escape.

Andre and the two bodyguards stepped forward and took her towards the operating room.

Lindsey walked with them and suddenly stopped in front of the operating room door. She looked to the side and looked at Liam’s pale face that was comparable to Sophie’s earlier. “I was laughing at you. You never knew what Sophie really wanted.”

After she said that, she did not wait for Liam’s reply and walked calmly into the brightly lit operating room.

There were two beds inside. One with Sophie lying on it, and the other was for her.

The driver was flooring the gas pedal and did not release it for one moment, but no matter how fast he drove, he could only shorten a two-hour journey by so much.

Zayn had already gone mad. From the moment Allie said that the operation had begun, his behavior became uncontrollable. He pushed the person who was blocking in front of him away. "Get out of the way!"

Zion followed behind Zayn and mumbled in his heart. Zayn was so reckless and did not care about the consequences. Zayn probably would not stop until either Liam or he was dead.

The operating room was on the first floor and Zayn fought off all these people with ease. He was incredibly fast and precise in his strikes.

Lindsey was injected with an anesthetic. Her hands were covering her belly and she gradually lost consciousness. The noises outside became more distant in her ears.

In a daze, the doctors and nurses around her seemed to be whispering something. Then, a man pushed open the door and said something else, which put the entire operating room in complete turmoil.

Before Lindsey lost consciousness, the last thing she saw was Sophie’s pale side profile beside her.

"Sir, the surgery will take at least six or seven hours, and that's if it goes well. Now that Zayn Guggenheim has rushed over, we may need to hurry up and leave."

Liam instantly exploded.

"Leave?! Sophie’s in this state now. How can we just leave?"
