Lindsey reluctantly moved her gaze away from the painting on the wall and nodded gently. "Alright."
Yvette led Lindsey upstairs while she looked at Shaun, who was sitting in the living room. She then pointed at the painting on the wall and made another gesture to throw it out.
Shaun made an “okay” gesture, indicating that he understood.
Sieben also followed them, so Shaun was left sitting alone. He directed the servants in the villa to take down the painting.
He had just ordered someone to take away the painting when Lindsey's voice suddenly came from behind him, "Brother, what are you doing standing there?"
Shaun jerked around with a smile already on his face. "Nothing, just standing here taking a look." There was a painting missing, so it looked weird compared to the overall style of the house.
Earlier, Lindsey was staring at the painting for so long. Now that the painting was taken down, she did not feel that anything was wrong. She walked in front of Shaun and said, "Zayn just called and asked me to deliver something to him. I’ll be back in a moment. Brother, you guys stay here first. I'm a little hungry, so let's eat at Yvette's house today, okay?"
"Zayn asked you to deliver something to him?" Shaun's eyebrows furrowed lightly.
Lindsey nodded. "Yeah, it's a very important document. He's not comfortable with others delivering it to him. I'll get going now and will come back after. Please take care of Sieben for a while."
"I'll go with you." Shaun was still not at ease.
Lindsey looked at him with a smile. "No, you can’t. Zayn definitely wouldn't want to see us together. Plus, the bodyguards will follow me, so I’ll be fine."
After saying that, Lindsey winked mischievously and looked to be in a good mood. This was considered the liveliest she had been all day. Shaun settled his heart and nodded. "Alright, then come back quickly. We’ll wait for you for dinner."
"Okay." Lindsey smiled with her teeth.
Shaun watched as Lindsey walked out the door and got into the Guggenheim family’s car. After the car left, he turned around and went back into Yvette's house.
Yvette was still trying on clothes upstairs, so Shaun did not want to go up and just looked around downstairs. After a while, he felt bored and even went out to the garden for a walk.
He had just gone out for a short time when he heard Yvette’s voice calling him from upstairs.
"Shaun!"
Shaun turned around and saw Yvette waving at him on the second-floor balcony with over half of her body poking out from the railing.
She was wearing a big flowy pink dress that made her look stunning. A breeze came from out of nowhere and lifted her skirt, making her look like she was dancing with the wind.
Yvette was beautiful, but Shaun felt that her position was a little too dangerous.
The wind was strong and blew in his ears, so Shaun could not hear what Yvette was saying and had to walk a few steps closer. He shouted to remind her, "Go back in! Be careful, don’t fall!"
Yvette heard him but did not move. She shouted back and sounded worried, "Where’s Lindsey?"
Shaun was stunned and a wave of uneasiness welled up in his heart. "She said she was helping Zayn deliver some documents."
Then, Yvette's body swayed like she was not standing still. His pupils tightened and before he could move, a hand suddenly reached out from behind Yvette and yanked her back.
Sieben held Yvette tightly and waited until Yvette stood firm before releasing her. She then asked with a puzzled face, "Where’s Lindsey?"
The driver stopped the car. Lindsey was about to get out of the car, but the bodyguard sitting in front of her was a bit hesitant. "Madam, the Young Master told us to follow you every step of the way."
"I'll be back soon." Lindsey frowned and looked upset. "I've talked to Zayn. Don't worry, I’ll be fine."
She was articulate and acted like a logical person, so she did not seem to have any mental disorders.
The bodyguard still wanted to say something else, but Lindsey's fierce gaze made him swallow the rest of his words.
"Okay, Madam. Don't go too far."
Only then did Lindsey smile in satisfaction and got out of the car. She went inside the park with ease.
Looking at Lindsey's back, the bodyguard felt a little uneasy, but the park was not very big, so nothing should happen.
It was already ten minutes later when the bodyguard received Zayn's call.
The bodyguard was standing in the same place and paced around anxiously. He was about to go in and take a look when the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
The bodyguard picked it up and Zayn's voice that carried suppressed anger came through, "Where’s Madam?"
"Madam passed by a park and said that she was meeting someone. She’s now in the park."
Over the phone, Zayn cursed and shouted with rage, "Go in and look for her now! If you can’t find her, don’t bother coming back!"
