After dinner.

"Grandpa, it's getting late. You should get some rest."

Zayn said this while standing up to leave. However, he was dragged back down by the old man the next moment.

The old man had a stern face as he said, "Sit down! You only come back once every ten days or half a month, and now you're leaving after a short while? You can’t leave tonight, stay with Lindsey. I have asked Mrs. Jones to clean up the bedroom for both of you!"

Zayn frowned and said, "No, I really can’t. I have some work to finish up at the company."

"Who’s more important to you? The company or your old man?"

The old man's eyes widened in anger as he continued, "Look at you! You only know how to work every day and neglected your wife all this time! I’ve heard you’ve been staying outside and rarely going home. What kind of behavior is this?"

"Is she the one who told you that?"

Zayn’s icy gaze fell on Lindsey again, which made the latter's body tremble as she lowered her head, hiding her expression.

Lindsey swore she did not say a word. She originally planned to take the opportunity when they were leaving together to talk to him, but she was surprised the old man asked them to stay.

If this continued, she would lose the chance to approach him, let alone talk to him!

"Grandpa, Zayn is very busy with work and I have something going on at work tomorrow, so I'm afraid I really can't stay with you. But don't worry, I’ll come back to see you after two days, is that okay?"

"No way!"

The old man, who always loved Lindsey, became stubborn all of a sudden. He ordered, "Both of you can't leave tonight! You all must stay here. Mrs. Jones, lock the door!"

"Grandpa..."

The air pressure exuding from someone at the other end of the sofa was frighteningly low. Lindsey was afraid that he would leave if he was not satisfied, so she stood up first wanting to say something. However, before she could get a word out, she was interrupted.

"Lindsey, you should head on upstairs first. Zayn, come here. I have something to talk to you about!"

Zayn coldly glanced at Lindsey, got up, and followed behind the old man.

"You didn’t? Ha!"

Zayn was closing into the bed. He gritted his teeth and seethed, “Lindsey Juhl, I have to say that was a pretty good scheme. In the past, you made Grandpa force me into marrying you and made Jenny so depressed that she almost committed suicide! Now you're trying to do the same thing by forcing me to share a room with you? What? Are you that cheap and desperate?"

Lindsey frowned -- forced them to share a room?

She never thought of such a thing before!

"No, it wasn’t my intention to do that. All I wanted to do was to speak to you..."

"You didn’t?"

Zayn was towering over Lindsey. He choked her neck and pinned her to the bed as he continued, "If you didn’t complain to him, how would Grandpa have known I’ve never touched you in these two years? I was planning to kick you out after the Juhls went bankrupt, but now I have changed my mind!

"Lindsey Juhl, you have always wanted to be my wife, right? Then I’ll do as you wish! But listen up, your future in the Guggenheim family will be hell that you wish you had never planned this scheme in the first place!"

Her hands were pinned against the top of her head, then came a sharp pain that almost made her faint!
