Seeing that Shaun’s expression was not right, Lindsey recalled the last time Shaun decided to come back to the States, he was chasing after Yvette. Lindsey thought that the two of them would end up together, but now it seemed that her brother was the man who had been abandoned. Also, why would Finn Moeller come to Atlantic City and cling to Yvette?

When Lindsey saw Yvette and Finn chatting happily, she nudged Shaun and pushed him. “Brother, you’re not going over to take a look?”

Shaun retracted his gaze and was clearly in a bad mood. He just wanted to go up and beat up Finn, but he just said, "No."

He even turned around and pretended not to see anything.

Lindsey sighed, shook her head, and looked over. Coincidentally, she met Yvette's eyes that were quietly looking this way.

She realized that there was probably some misunderstanding between them that had not been cleared up yet, that was why they were so distant from each other.

Lindsey did not have a good feeling about Finn Moeller, so after thinking about it, Lindsey took her glass and said, "I'll go over and say hello." She then walked towards Yvette.

They were not far apart. Lindsey had one hand on the hem of her skirt while her other hand was holding the wine glass. When she saw familiar people, she would smile from time to time as a greeting.

When she was just a few meters away from Yvette, Yvette also saw Lindsey and showed a big smile on her face. However, in the next second, the smile on her face abruptly faded and her eyes widened.

"Watch out!"

Before Lindsey could react, a huge impact suddenly came from behind her and she felt severe pain in her waist. Lindsey did not stand still and fell hard on the floor.

The pain was so intense that Lindsey's face instantly turned pale and beads of sweat rolled down her forehead.

She was on the floor, but the thing that hit her was still moving forward and it was about to run over Lindsey's calf.

The people in the room were stunned by this accident and no one reacted for a while. Lindsey was also in shock. In the nick of time, a long and strong arm suddenly reached out from the back of the cart and pulled it from behind.

Lindsey’s chest was heaving. She followed the arm and saw a stunning face. Lindsey thought she had seen many good-looking men before, but the man in front of her was a sight to behold.

The man in front of her had well-defined features. His nose was high and he had deep, light-brown eyes. His chin was slightly raised and he looked a little haughty. His expression was cold and his far-above-average height made him look even more aloof.

His eyes gently swept over Lindsey without pausing on her. Lindsey felt that he might not even know what she looked like.

This all happened in just two or three seconds.

In the next second, the man abruptly let go of the cart and took out a handkerchief from his pocket. He looked indifferent as he lowered his head and wiped his hands before he walked away.

Lindsey had never seen that man before. She only came back to her senses after he walked away. She opened her mouth to say something, but next to her, an apologetic and guilt-ridden voice sounded, “Mrs. Guggenheim, I’m so sorry! I accidentally let go of the cart. Are you alright? Let me send you to the hospital first.”

She looked in the direction of the voice. It turned out to be a waiter talking to her.

He looked very apologetic, but Lindsey's eyes fell on Ann's face behind him. Ann was standing there with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.

"No need." Shaun refused for Lindsey and gave Ann a fierce glare. He interrupted her hypocritical words and turned around to leave without looking back while carrying Lindsey.

"I..." Ann looked like she was at a loss. She sighed again and turned to reprimand the waiter. She then apologized to the guests present.

"Mr. Juhl’s really infatuated with Mrs. Guggenheim." The guests began to talk and no longer looked at them. Ann pretended to sigh at Yvette, who was still standing in the same place.

Yvette glanced coldly at her. "What do you want to say?"

Ann covered her mouth and laughed lightly. "I just feel sorry for you, Ms. Wendell." She smirked and glanced at Yvette's stomach with a meaningful look.

Yvette’s eyes narrowed slightly and coldly snorted. "Ugly people like to make the most trouble to gain attention." Then, without looking back, she turned around and walked away.

Ann looked at her back and was furious with her words, but she looked thoughtful after.

Shaun put Lindsey in the car and immediately told the driver to go to the hospital.

The driver was startled by Lindsey's pale and sweaty face and hurriedly started the car, but before he could drive out, the door was pulled open from the outside and someone quickly jumped in.

That person was also wearing a champagne-colored evening gown. Who else could it be if it was not Yvette?
