Lindsey froze, then waved her hand. "It just started and it’s not the peak shopping time yet, so it’s perfectly normal to have fewer customers. Besides, it's only the first day, so there's no rush."
However, her positive outlook did not resonate with the others. Everyone still looked downcast. Lindsey looked at them and asked with a smile, "What's wrong? Why do you all look so sad?"
After Lindsey said that, the assistant saw that no one was willing to talk, so she clenched her fists and pouted as she said, "It's all because of Denarius...they’re clearly stealing our business. They didn’t promote their launch at all and their product isn’t even that great, but everyone is still rushing to buy their stuff."
Lindsey had been wondering if this was because of Denarius. When she heard her assistant's words, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "So no one is buying our products and they’re all going over to buy Denarius' products?"
The secretary nodded in righteous indignation.
‘That’s strange...Denarius didn’t have any form of publicity for their launch, so why are all the customers attracted to them?’
Lindsey took over the water bottle someone handed to her and took a sip to moisten her dry throat. In a few moments, she regained composure.
"Alright, take it easy. Do what you’re supposed to and I'll go check it out."
The moment she walked away, the assistant immediately followed her. The rest of her team was left speechless. Finally, they just frowned and went about their tasks.
Lindsey first went around to check on their booth. They had put a lot of effort into this new product launch and everything looked very attractive, but there were little to no customers and their area looked very desolate.
"Let's go to Denarius' booth." Lindsey could not figure out why this happened and decided to check out their rival with her assistant.
There would be a chance to win if one knew themselves and their competition well.
Some hesitation flashed across the assistant's face. She whispered, "Actually, there's nothing special about Denarius’ booth."
"Then why are they able to attract customers?" Lindsey asked her back. "We've put so much effort into it, and our products are decent, so we have to know why we’re on the losing end."
She walked towards the other side of the mall. Denarius' new product launch happened to be right opposite Hemera's, but Denarius’ location was not any better than theirs.
The young assistant thought of what she had just heard from others and gritted her teeth as she followed Lindsey.
The surrounding stores blocked the view. Lindsey went around the semi-circle design of the mall and saw a large crowd gathered there, which was in stark contrast compared to the situation at Hemera's side.
Quentin was busy describing the new product to the crowd. When he looked up, he looked right into Lindsey’s eyes, which shocked Quentin so much that he forgot what he was saying for a moment.
On the other hand, Zayn, who was just standing there like a mannequin yet successfully attracting traffic, hooked up his lips suspiciously.
Quentin glanced over at Zayn and saw that Zayn just scared away a young lady that was trying to hit on him with his cold face. Quentin then laughed at Zayn’s misery in his heart.
Lindsey had already noticed Zayn from afar. After all, Zayn was 188 cm tall and always stood out from the crowd. Lindsey reluctantly had to admit that Zayn had those vibes that made others look at him twice when they were passing by.
She stopped some distance away from the crowd and could see that all the customers passing by were only interested in their products after seeing Zayn.
Next to Lindsey, two young girls that looked like high school students saw Zayn standing there from a distance. Their eyes lit up for a moment.
"OMG! He’s so handsome!"
"Is he a new celebrity? What's his name? Is he doing product endorsements?"
"Are you a celebrity?"
"Can I please have your autograph?"
"You’re so handsome!"
Zayn stood there and was annoyed by all the fangirl screams. He was tired of emphasizing that he was Zayn Guggenheim. Whenever the ladies heard that, they would be stunned for a while and shriek. Then, their eyes would become more fervent.
He simply stopped talking, but his face was so gloomy and even became stormy after seeing Lindsey leaving in a huff.
Quentin was stuck in the crowd. When he saw Lindsey leaving, he subconsciously looked at Zayn and found that Zayn looked like he was about to explode.
After Quentin managed to squeeze his way to Zayn, Quentin held a product manual and a beautifully packaged new product as he whispered, "President, I just heard someone say that the business on the Madam's side isn’t very good."
Zayn was stunned. He thought Lindsey was angry because he was surrounded by all these women.
No, it was only because these people were all her potential customers.
Quentin originally wanted to remind Zayn that the Madam was only so angry because he was standing here attracting all the young ladies so Hemera had no business, but for some reason, after he said that, Zayn just swept him a glance. It inexplicably gave him a feeling that he said the wrong thing.
"Go do your work," Zayn looked at Quentin with a cold smile as he said in a harsh tone.
Quentin just felt like his butt was pricked by a needle and scurried back into the crowd.
