The secretary could not bear to look on and averted her eyes. She forgot to warn Ms. Wendell that she had just delivered the coffee to President Juhl. The last time Ms. Wendell came over, she pretended to be a deliveryman and got the President's assistant to cooperate with her, but before she even entered the door, her act was already exposed.
One time, Yvette even pretended to be the janitor and almost succeeded. However, the President was in a bad mood that day and only said in a cold voice, "No thanks, come back later." At the time, the secretary broke out in cold sweat for Yvette.
However, Ms. Wendell was relentless. Finally, the President impatiently came over to open the door and was greeted by a bear hug. Her large almond-shaped eyes were teary as she whined pitifully. "Don’t be mad, please? Look, I came all the way here to coax you, so please don’t be mad at me!"
The secretary watched as the President's originally stormy face cleared up. When she thought of that image, the secretary blushed a little and averted her eyes, but her ears perked up.
Not only her, but a few Hemera employees on this floor also pricked up their ears and stared at the scene in front of the President's office with curious eyes.
Shaun did not keep them waiting for too long. His bright voice sounded extraordinarily melodious through the door, "Come in. I don’t need the coffee, but you can come in."
Yvette instantly frowned and was about to push the door open, but the tightly shut door was suddenly pulled open from the inside. Then, in a blink of an eye, the door slammed shut and the person who was just standing at the door disappeared.
The girl who was dragged into the office did not stand still and was carried by the waist.
Yvette was afraid of falling and subconsciously put her hands around Shaun's neck while her legs circled his waist.
The man's chuckle sounded in her ears and she could feel his chest vibrations. It was then that Yvette realized their current posture.
They stared at each other wide-eyed. Shaun held Yvette firmly with one hand so that she would not fall, while his other hand cupped her tiny chin. "My secretary, huh?"
Yvette then remembered what Shaun said before she entered the office. She straightened her back so that her line of sight was higher than Shaun’s. "Why didn't you want the coffee but asked her to come in instead?"
Shaun pondered for a moment and looked surprisingly serious as he thought about this. After a while, he pretended to be put in a difficult position and looked at Yvette. "Then, I’ll take both the coffee and the person. Where’s my coffee?"
Yvette reached out and pinched his ear. It was very gentle, but she deliberately looked fierce. "Why did you ask your secretary to come in alone? What were you trying to do?"
Shaun tilted his head slightly and gently bit Yvette’s fingertips. He then looked at her with tender eyes. "What did you think I wanted to do?"
“Shaun Juhl!!!” Yvette shouted and narrowed her eyes, fully expressing her contempt for such behavior.
Shaun could not help it and burst out laughing. His eyes were smiling and his body swayed gently with laughter.
Yvette clung onto Shaun like a koala. Her feet swayed and she was not afraid that she would fall.
Her eyes were smiling, but she pretended to be serious and reached out to pull Shaun's ears again. "Tell me, what are you trying to do with your secretary when I'm not around? You better be honest, or else I won't let you go today."
Yvette had both hands on Shaun's neck. Her eyes were curved as she said, "I’m laughing that there’s a tiny me in your eyes."
She was clearly being perfunctory, but Shaun willingly played along. "Okay then, I’ll make you so small so that I can fit you in my pocket."
"No, I don’t wanna be small." Yvette immediately denied it. "If I’m small, then you can’t kiss me."
Her words poured out impulsively before she realized what she blurted out, but now it was too late to shut her mouth.
Shaun stared straight at Yvette with a light under his eyes. He then looked like he had a sudden realization. "So you want me to kiss you all the time?"
"No..." Before Yvette could deny it, Shaun abruptly lowered his head and planted a gentle but firm kiss on Yvette's pouty lips. He then whispered, "I’m happy to oblige as long as it’s my darling's wish."
‘Whose wish was it, really?’
Yvette was a little breathless from the long kiss while she thought bitterly in her heart.
She would never admit that Shaun's kissing skills had vastly improved since the beginning that nothing could compare to it. She also enjoyed it very much.
