It was just a simple meal, but Dezi was already contented.

When Dezi finally stood at the curb and waved goodbye to Zayn, Lindsey could clearly feel the sudden downturn in the little one’s mood.

"Go ahead, Daddy will watch you and Mommy leave." Zayn waved at him.

Little Dezi also waved back and said in a small voice, "Bye, Daddy!"

His reluctance was obvious to Zayn and Lindsey, but they both chose to be silent about it. Lindsey looked down at Dezi and said, "Let's go, Daddy’s busy with work."

Dezi's little mouth twitched. "Oh." He was led by Lindsey and looked back at Zayn as they walked away.

Zayn just waved at Dezi as he held the small gift box in his hand. He watched Lindsey get into the car with Dezi and only turned around when they were completely out of sight.

When Zayn got into the car, the driver waited for him to settle in before he respectfully said, "Sir, Quentin called just now to say that Ms. Ann has returned from Honduras and wants to meet you."

Quentin knew that Zayn would not want to be disturbed by this news when he was seeing his wife and child, but Quentin still needed to inform him somehow, so he just told the driver to pass on the message on his behalf.

Zayn rubbed his brow. "Get Quentin to make an appointment tomorrow."

He fiddled with the tiny box in his palm. The corners of the box were rounded at the edges so that it would not cut the kids when they held it.

Lindsey looked at the road in front of her while she talked to Dezi in the backseat. "The next time you want to see Daddy, just tell Mommy and I’ll help you to ask Daddy, okay?"

The little one nodded and did not say anything. Lindsey just let out a sigh and felt a bit of a headache.

Lindsey saw that it was a red light, so she slowed down and stopped right in front of the crosswalk. She was about to turn around and say something to Dezi, but as soon as she turned her head, there was a knock on the passenger side’s car window.

The distance between the two cars should not be so close and that person did not knock on the driver's window.

Lindsey was startled and sat up straight as she was afraid something would happen.

The person in the car next to her saw that Lindsey did not lower her window, so he knocked again.

The other party's appearance through the window was not very clear, but this did not stop Lindsey from recognizing that man’s figure.

Suddenly, Lindsey thought about what Shaun told her yesterday. Her heart became tense and thought, ‘He’s just been released, so how did he find me so quickly?’

The person who knocked on her window was not Arthur, but Lindsey had a feeling that Arthur must be sitting in the car. Otherwise, why would a stranger knock on her window for no reason?

She only thought about this briefly before she saw the green light. She then stepped on the gas pedal and the white car flew off into the night.

"Baby, sit tight! Mommy’s going to speed up." Lindsey even took the time to explain to Dezi in the backseat. She glanced through the rearview mirror and found that the car was relentlessly catching up to them.

Lindsey was aghast. They were not far from Opal Suites, and Lindsey did not know when this car began to follow them. What was their intention?

The scenery outside the window continued to recede and Lindsey’s heart was pounding. She only wanted to hurry back and take Dezi back home.

"Yes." Lindsey touched the window frame and thought it was a sales pitch, so she said, "I’m not interested in insurance or credit cards or whatever you’re selling. Sorry."

She was about to hang up when she heard a faint laugh that was completely different from the previous guy’s voice. The man on the other side said, "Excuse me, Ms. Juhl, but I'm not selling insurance. Our boss wants to have a word with you."

Lindsey could already guess who this boss was. Before Lindsey had time to react, she heard another familiar voice, "Ms. Juhl?"

The person spoke slowly and had a little accent, but it was a very pleasant male voice. Who else would it be if it was not Arthur?

Lindsey's first reaction was to hang up the phone.

Arthur already guessed what Lindsey wanted to do and quickly said, “Ms. Juhl, I don’t have any bad intentions, but perhaps we could reach a consensus regarding Aksel?”

"His name is Dezi Juhl, not Aksel!" Lindsey yelled at the phone as she frowned, then simply hung up.

She stared at the phone in her hand and muttered, "What kind of bullsh*t is that? No bad intentions? Will you snatch my child or strangle me if you have no bad intentions? Why are you stalking me then?!"

After she said that, there was another incoming call, but Lindsey just hung up. After a few times, Lindsey blocked that number.

Arthur looked a little dumbfounded as he stared at his calls that were repeatedly rejected. The driver and bodyguard in the car were afraid to speak. This was the first time a woman ever hung up on their boss.

They were apprehensive and kept their heads down as they were afraid of getting implicated.
