Chapter Summary: Chapter 586 Grabbing Onto A Ray Of Hope Is Better Than Completely Giving Up – Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean by Internet
In Chapter 586 Grabbing Onto A Ray Of Hope Is Better Than Completely Giving Up, a key moment in the Romance novel Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean, Internet delivers powerful storytelling, emotional shifts, and critical plot development. This chapter deepens the reader’s connection to the characters and sets the stage for upcoming revelations.
For them, Arthur was a stranger whose identity was still suspicious. The way they first met was extremely unpleasant. It was a little unbelievable that such a man standing at the top of the pyramid could still ignore the past and be so generous as to be their investor in this non-profitable project, especially after being treated like that by them. Even they did not believe that Arthur had no motives.
Denarius’ so-called cooperation was too weak. The two companies were in an awkward relationship, so they really did not have much confidence in this cooperation.
"Linds, what do you think?" Shaun asked.
This matter still had to go through the board of directors' discussion and get senior executives’ opinions later. Shaun asking Lindsey privately like this would not decide the direction of the whole thing.
Lindsey pondered for a moment. "Brother, I think that our current situation can't be any worse than it already is. No matter what they have in mind, why don't we just accept it first? It's better to grab onto a ray of hope than to give up completely!"
Shaun nodded to show that she had a point. In fact, he had the same thoughts.
"Right. So which one do you think is better for us?"
Lindsey let out a bitter laugh. "Brother, you're putting me in a difficult position!"
One of them wanted to steal her son, while the other was her ex-husband that she had repeatedly failed to let go of. If possible, Lindsey did not want to accept either one.
Shaun laughed. "Then I won't make it difficult for you. You haven't had a good rest lately because of this, so you should leave work early today and don't worry about it."
Lindsey knew what Shaun meant. These two people played awkward roles in her life, so she did not have to participate in the decision-making meeting later and could remain neutral.
She had no objection to this. Rationally, she should separate work and personal matters, but emotionally, it was really hard for her.
With Shaun’s approval, Lindsey did not insist and left work early in the evening. Seeing her drive away, a black Maybach slowly followed her from behind.
From Zayn’s angle, he could only see the tail of Lindsey's car. He stared at the license plate number and was deep in thought.
Zayn was aware of the difficulties Hemera and Lindsey went through lately and could not resist helping them. Lindsey was not aware that someone was following her and was thinking that she should go shopping with Dezi today.
She could have gotten the latest arrivals delivered to her home, but Lindsey did not want to because she enjoyed the fun of trying on clothes with her child.
After picking Dezi up, Lindsey drove to the mall they often went to.
Zayn watched as Lindsey held Dezi’s hand and went into the mall. He just sat in the car because it would be too obvious if he went down. If Lindsey saw him, she would be overthinking things again.
He rested his fingers on his chin and did not realize that he was lost in thought.
The driver in front of him called out twice and did not get a response, so he shouted, "President!"
Zayn jerked back to his senses and his voice carried a hint of displeasure. "What's wrong?"
"Arthur!" The driver explained to Zayn, "He went in after Madam."
Arthur had changed out of his gray suit and was wearing a simple white tracksuit, looking much younger than earlier.
Lindsey noticed that Arthur seemed to really like white clothes.
She was still wondering why Arthur was here when he walked in. He saw Lindsey and Dezi, then greeted them frankly, "Hey, what a coincidence!"
‘It is quite a coincidence,’ Lindsey thought to herself. How could she run into Arthur even when she was shopping for clothes with her son?
Did they even have Arthur's size here?
Arthur squatted down and looked at the short Dezi, then stretched out his long slender hand and said seriously, "Hello, my name is Arthur Evans. I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to do a proper self-introduction with you."
Dezi had already frantically begun to shrink behind Lindsey since he saw Arthur approaching, but the space behind him was limited and he could not retreat much. Arthur was not in a hurry and patiently waited for Dezi to hold his outstretched hand.
Lindsey did not speak, nor did she stop Arthur’s actions. She was also surprised that she did not just carry Dezi and run away.
Dezi waited for a while and did not know what to do, so he learned from the grown-ups and reached out to hold Arthur's hand. His hand was too small, so he could only pinch three of Arthur’s fingertips. He said softly, "Hello...my name...is...Dezi Juhl."
Arthur was amused by Dezi’s cute little gesture and the corners of his lips curved up slightly to reveal a smile. He was as handsome as Prince Charming.
