No one knew when Sieben would wake up. Seeing that Zayn was not ready to leave just yet, Lindsey asked again, "How did you guys get there at that time?"

The man left so abruptly at that time probably because he was aware that Zayn and the others were coming.

Lindsey was terrified. If they had not come when they did, Sieben would not have lasted long, and perhaps Sieben might have been taken away by now. Then, Lindsey really would not be able to forgive herself.

Seeing Lindsey’s fluctuating expression, Zayn was silent for a moment before he slowly said, “You went on a field trip with Dezi today.”

Zayn gave Lindsey a deep look and did not speak again. By the time Lindsey came to her senses, they had already walked to the door of Sieben's ward. Soren was inside and they did not want to disturb him, so they just stood at the door.

Lindsey looked at Zayn and suddenly realized. "You followed me to Green Lake Park because you knew that Dezi and I were on a field trip today?"

Zayn’s eyes flickered as he averted his gaze. After a while, he let out a faint “mm”.

He actually did not intend to show himself, but he observed from afar that the meat on Lindsey's barbeque grill was burnt and she had not returned. That was when he realized that something was wrong. At that time, he did not care much and only wanted to find them.

Zayn thought that not showing up and watching them from the back was considered accompanying his son on a trip, but he did not expect an accident like this.

Lindsey also did not expect such an outcome.

After getting this out of the way, the atmosphere between the two of them was not much better and was still awkward. Lindsey thought about how Zayn had helped them today and how much of a relief she felt when she heard Zayn’s voice, so she no longer gave him the cold shoulder.

Since Zayn already knew about the field trip and even thought of accompanying Dezi, Lindsey thought about it and said, “If you want to go on a field trip with Dezi, you can bring him out whenever you’re free. We can each take some pictures with Dezi, so he won’t look out of place among the other kids."

Lindsey actually wanted to tell Dezi that divorce was a normal thing. Zayn was proving with his actions that divorce did not affect his continued care and love for Dezi.

Thus, Lindsey never wanted to deliberately create a complete and perfect family. After all, although children were young, they were not stupid. They were sometimes even more perceptive than adults.

However, since there was an opportunity, Lindsey would not refuse to make Dezi's childhood more complete.

After Zayn heard Lindsey's words, a hint of incredulity flashed across his face, but it quickly turned into realization. He nodded. "Okay, I'll clear out my schedule someday to spend time with Dezi."

The kindergarten had a very relaxed timing because they also took into consideration the fact that many parents were busy at work. They were flexible with time because they wanted the parents to accompany their children at a time that was convenient to them. After all, parents were the best teachers for their kids.

The two of them were speechless for a while. Zayn thought of Arthur earlier and his eyes darkened slightly, but he did not mention that name in front of Lindsey.

Arthur pushed open the car door and got out. He looked immaculate and with his great skin, he really looked like Prince Charming.

"Lindsey, are you hurt?" Arthur sized her up.

Lindsey was still a little comfortable with him addressing her like they were very familiar with each other. She took a step back to maintain an acceptable social distance. "I'm not hurt."

He and Arthur stood face to face while they stared down at each other. The two of them were in stark contrast with their black and white suits.

Lindsey was sandwiched between them and had no time to appreciate their handsome faces. She just felt annoyed and thought that the scene in front of her was a little awkward.

She took Dezi's hand and left the area where the two men were with a quick pace. "I'll take a taxi. I don't need either of you to send me home."
