Sieben and Soren were facing each other. They were so close that they could count each other’s eyelashes. Their eyes met and both of them were a little dumbfounded.

Lindsey called Soren at night before she went to bed, but Sieben was not awake yet at that time.

Mrs. Wendy and Lindsey had prepared everything to bring to the hospital today. When they arrived at the hospital, they found that Sieben was awake, but there was something strange going on with Soren.

Lindsey put the thermos in her hand on the bedside table. She looked at Soren, then at Sieben, who was bored and kept changing the TV channel. When Sieben saw Lindsey and Mrs. Wendy, she was excited.

"When did you wake up?" Lindsey touched Sieben's face. Her eyes were full of concern. "Does it still hurt?"

Sieben shook her head. Soren was standing on the side and wanted to roll his eyes when he saw Sieben’s good girl act. He answered Lindsey's question, "Last night at 2:00 am."

Lindsey did not think much of it. She opened the thermos and poured out the soup into a small bowl. "So late? Any discomfort? What did the doctor say?"

Sieben’s nose twitched with Lindsey’s movements as she stared at the food longingly. Mrs. Wendy was putting away some of the toiletries and clean clothes that she had packed for Sieben. She walked over and stroked Sieben’s head. When she saw Sieben’s bandaged head, she felt like crying and said, “Sigh...how did you even meet a psycho at a park?”

When Sieben heard Mrs. Wendy's words, she froze for a moment, then laughed and said, "Bad luck...haha..."

Mrs. Wendy poked Sieben’s forehead and said with concern, "Talk less and eat more. This hospital lighting is too blinding, so get well soon and we can go home."

Sieben had already taken the bowl from Lindsey’s hands. She finished it in a few gulps and smacked her lips after. She then nonchalantly handed the bowl to Lindsey again and blinked her big, animated eyes like she was saying, "I want more!"

"There’s still more," Mrs. Wendy hurriedly said, "Drink slowly, take your time."

After saying that, Mrs. Wendy got another bowl for Sieben and turned to look at Soren. "Soren, come and have some soup. Did you not feed Sieben breakfast this morning?"

Soren glanced at Sieben and said in a strange tone, "She had three buns, a large bowl of oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and two sausages."

‘She even snatched the scrambled eggs from my mouth…’

Soren had a headache just thinking about it.

Mrs. Wendy was worried that Soren kept Sieben starving, but after hearing his words, she was afraid that Sieben would be too bloated. Sieben finished the bowl of soup and was even asking for another. Mrs. Wendy looked horrified and said, “No, no more. You’ll get too bloated! I’ll keep it warm for you so you can drink it later."

Sieben wanted another bowl of soup, but because of Soren's words, her hopes were lost, so she glared at Soren with some resentment.

Lindsey looked at Soren, then at Sieben, and suddenly went forward to sit on the stool beside the hospital bed. She examined Sieben from side to side and a conjecture suddenly flashed through her mind. She said with uncertainty, "Sieben...recovered?"

Sieben blinked at her and did not speak. Soren, who was not far away, pressed his brow and said helplessly, "Yeah, she’s recovered. I asked her neurologist to come over, so she should be here soon."

When the two of them left, the large ward looked empty again.

"Sorie..." Sieben felt much better today than when she first woke up last night. Her feet that were resting on the bed railing swayed. She trailed her voice and clearly looked bored.

Soren was doing some research on his laptop about some internationally known cases of intracranial injury, loss of memory, and brain degeneration treatments. He had previously saved these papers before and could not help but take a look at them again.

Hearing Sieben's voice, although he was clear what Sieben wanted, he still lifted his head and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I want water." Sieben finally spoke normally and did not drag her sentence. She pursed her lips after she said that.

Soren stood up and brought the glass of water that was just an arm's length away from her to her mouth. "There."

Sieben held his hand and drank two sips, then pushed him away. "Done."

Soren looked at the water level that did not seem any lesser than it was and thought, ‘Is this a joke?’ When he was just about to scold Sieben and tell her to stop messing with him, the girl who had been sitting on the bed suddenly reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck as she kneeled on the bed.

He was shocked and hurriedly put down the glass, then reached out to hold her. This time, he was really fierce. "What the hell are you doing? Don’t you know what condition you’re in? The doctor told you not to move around! Did you even listen to a word she said?"
