Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Forrest. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 12 Unfiltered. Let's read the author's Forrest Internet story right here.
FORREST
“JESUS! YOU don’t know how to hold back, do you? And you’ve been a little too hard on yourself lately. Never. Ever.” I heaved an exhausted sigh. “Never a moment I think of you like that, Megan. You are one of those women I respect most. Believe it or not, but that’s the truth. Your choice of not investing in a relationship doesn’t make you a...” I pursed my lips. Saying the word whore did a tiny stab in my chest. “You can’t be judged by your views, your opinion on sex. People make their own choices by the way how they see it right.”
“Perhaps you wanna consider psychology?” she asked with sarcasm.
“There’s nothing wrong to indulge with your wants, your desires, and your needs. You’re not a sex addict and neither accepts money for sex. You’re just a grownup woman who knows what she wants. I just hope you’re not using it to escape from reality. Sex can’t be your band-aid, Megan.”
“Wow. You’re one to talk.” I would say sarcasm was an ugly wit, but it was Megan, and I’d known her to be sarcastic when she wanted to be.
“I am not using sex to forget my problem.”
“Don’t tell me you’re running away from it instead.”
A few minutes passed, I kept my words to myself.
“I told you I am starving, but I didn’t mean you have to feed me. You can stop right here.” She pointed to the nearest parking area as we passed by. She groaned when I didn’t bother stopping the car. “You don’t make any sense. One time you’re nice, then in a second you’re mean,” she added.
“If I can just have a moment of silence to think, I would be grateful.”
“So where are we going exactly?”
“To a place called shut up.”
I didn’t know why I had to shut her up when all I wanted was to hear her voice and her laugh.
She remained silent throughout the ride. And I was thankful, but when her head started to fall against the window and her breathing turned even, it had me worried.
A few moments later, she was already snoring. Cute. I couldn’t see her a woman who snored. And fuck me! Megan just dozed off in my fucking car. She must have been so exhausted with what happened earlier. I knew the feeling because I had been mentally and physically drained just like her.
I nodded at Morgan, the security guard, and narrowed my eyes at him when he noticed my passenger seat was not empty.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Wood.” He tipped his head.
I slowed the car and pointed at the elevator. He ran toward there and pressed my floor number. I groaned in annoyance once I parked the car to idle, but when I looked down at sleeping Megan, I felt a warm feeling inside my heart and hardening of my stomach at the same time.
What am I doing? Why did I feel I was risking something for her? Did she worth it though? Of course, she did. The thing was, I didn’t even know anything about her, yet, the first thing came into my mind when she called was to rescue her, and I even wanted her to share her burden with me, and not only that, I brought her to my place where no one ever knew except to the two people I ever trusted.
Morgan was already opening my door before I could help myself. “Can I help you, Mr. Wood?”
