The next day.

Early in the morning, Ivan accompanied Linda to the hospital for her blood transfusion.

When she came out of the examination room, she saw Ivan standing in the hallway on a call, his face beaming with joy.

“Really? That’s wonderful! L… let’s talk when we meet later.”

Linda lowered her gaze coldly and cleared her throat, making Ivan realize her presence. He immediately ended the call, walked over, and hugged her tightly,

“Linda, the doctor said your health is improving I’m so happy for you.”

Listening to his words, Linda felt a bitter chuckle rise within her.

She hadn’t missed the fleeting glimpse of “Katherine” on Ivan’s phone screen.

Perhaps she should be as happy as he was.

After all, she would soon be rid of a man who couldn’t be faithful.

A week later.

The Gods had achieved over ten billion in sales, and ZyTech was soaring. Ivan spared no expense, throwing a grand celebration banquet.

The ballroom was radiant with lights.

Linda entered the venue with Ivan on her arm, her posture dignified and graceful.

As soon as their old friends spotted her, they quickly gathered around, each saying almost the same thing: “Mrs. Martin, you’re truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband.”

The noisy, bustling banquet only made Linda feel more detached.

She found a quiet corner to sit, her gaze sweeping over each person in the room.

She knew them all.

These were the people she’d helped Ivan recruit, one by one, to form ZyTech.

She had led them in building the framework for The Gods, brick by brick. She had been the

one to originally propose creating this IP, as well as leading the development of its foundational architecture and core systems.
