"SO, WHO do I need to kill for my precious Guide?"

Yuno immediately pointed at Choi Kangmin and answered Ki Gayoon’s question.

Choi Kangnim looked like he passed out after hitting the wall. Kim Jaeha was busy pressing a cloth against the back of Choi Kangmin’s head because it was bleeding. Rebecca, on the other hand, was pouring potion on the wound.

Well, Kangmin is still an Awakened Person, so his body is tougher than a Civilian’s.

"Kangmin’s Esper," Yuno said. He felt bad for Choi Kangmin, but he had to finish what the other guy started. Having said that, he still had a conscience. "But you don’t need to kill him. Just beat him for me in a proper duel."

Ki Gayoon knitted his eyebrows as if he was annoyed.

Yuno got nervous and wondered if the grumpy old man got upset with him.

Did I sound too bossy?

"Why are you calling that bastard by his first name casually when you only met him a few hours ago?" Ki Gayoon complained. "Are you nice to your bullies? So, do I need to bully you before you start calling me with the right honorifics?"

"Aren’t you already doing that, Ahjuhyung?" Yuno retorted. "You always bully me."

"When did I do that?"

"You kept calling me ’little shit’ ever since we met."

"That’s just a pet name."

"I don’t like it."

Ki Gayoon was about to say something, but the doors burst open.

"Esper Gayoon-ssi, you should have told us in advance that you were visiting."

It was Bambi.

"Why do I need to tell you that when I’m not here for you anyway?" Ki Gayoon scoffed at Bambi’s remark. "I’m just here to have lunch with my Guide."

Noh Yuno should have known Ki Gayoon would appear at his workplace just to feed him.

Ahjuhyung is acting like a witch fattening their victims before eating them.

"Even so, you still have called, Hyung," Bambi said, now talking to the uninterested Ki Gayoon in a friendly manner as if the two of them were close. "You almost gave the staff members who saw you a heart attack. Next time, please send a message in advance. I’m still Guide Noh Yuno-ssi’s Team Leader, so you have to tell me if you want to see your Guide."

"Right. You’re the Team Leader here, Ho Jung— Bambi."

Yuno was surprised when Ki Gayoon finally called Bambi by the latter’s new name.

"Gayoon Hyung, I’m afraid you need to stay here and explain," Bambi said in a cold voice, obviously suppressing his anger. "You attached an elite Guide that belongs to my team."

"Right. I have something to ask you, too, Team Leader."

Bambi flinched when Ki Gayoon called him by his position rather than name. "What is it?"

"Is the National Guide Bureau going bankrupt?"

"I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean by—"

"Every single station I see here looks fancy," Ki Gayoon said in a scary, cold voice. And then he pointed at Yuno’s plain workstation. "Except for my Guide’s table, that is."

Well, I did notice that my workstation is basic compared to the others. But it’s not like it’s a big deal since I don’t work here for real.

"Guide Noh Yuno-ssi’s appointment to the team is sudden, so we didn’t have enough time to prepare a better workstation for him," Bambi said calmly. "I’ll make sure to replace Guide Noh Yuno-ssi’s things—"

"Don’t bother," Ki Gayoon said, cutting off Noh Yuno rudely. "Beom-seok Constructions will provide my Guide his new workstation. All you have to do is approve my request, Team Leader."

Bambi forced a smile. "If that’s what you want, Hyung. But you still have to come with me to the Chief’s office to explain what happened here."

Ahjuhyung probably doesn’t want to be alone with Guide Bambi-ssi.
