Chapter Twenty Five

"Ask your daughter in-law! In my own house, she has made a servant out of my daughter! I stayed silent, thinking she’ll mend her ways, but she crossed the line today! Sahaan is the oldest after Amrah and Amrah is going out of this house soon. Sahaan naturally will be the oldest yet no one has any respect for her! And her she is insulting my daughter in front of outsiders like this is not okay! So what if her father is dead? I am her father now and everyone must watch how they treat her!” Yaqub could never bear someone insulting a family member, especially not Sahaan.

His last sentences boom in the house, reminding everyone their place and Sahaan’s place.

His heart is happy for Ahmed. God is gifting him with an angel. But he just hopes his son doesn’t do anything foolish and cherishes the gift he is going to be given by God.

Ahmed’s body shakes in anger. Once again, his hatred starts swirling against Sahaan. She is the reason his father is insulting his mother in front of his whole family. What he doesn’t notice is that Sahaan is always the victim of his mother and the chaos always start because of his own mother.

He steps forward to defend his mother, but a tight grip on his arm stops him. He looks at his side to see Hammad holding his arm. Hammad is looking at the scene in front of him with anger-filled eyes and a grim look all over his face.

“No one can question my daughter again. No one! You will not ask her to do anything for any of you, do your own work! She can take care of herself and her mother, and you guys take care of yourselves. There are servants in this house and she is not one of them. Her father is still alive,” He declares, firmly holding Sahaan by the shoulder.
