Chapter Thirty Six
"Ask your beloved grandson! I don’t even know what else he did to her.” He breathes heavily.
"Is this true, Ahmed?" Their grandmother turns around and asks Ahmed.
"Grandma... I-" Ahmed is interrupted by his furious grandmother.
“Yes or no?”
"Yes." Ahmed whispers, looking down in shame. Their grandmother slaps him with all of her power.
He looks up in shock. How can his own grandmother slap him?
Ayesha marches towards Sahaan. Her son was slapped by his own grandmother because of Sahaan and that didn’t sit well with her.
"You bad omen! From the day you came into my life till now, you have made my life miserable in every way possible! This is all because of you!" She angrily pushes her back, making her fall towards the bedside table.
Her head collides with the glass on top of the table.
"Ayesha! You said too much! If you say one more word, then don’t blame me! It won’t take a minute for me to divorce you," Yaqub angrily yells at his wife.
Ayesha looks at him in shock, tears welling up in her eyes.
Isra goes towards Sahaan to check on her.
Sahaan’s mother angrily gets up and marches towards Ayesha. Grabbing her arm in a tight grip, she turns her around.
"Is your heart at peace now? Are you happy now? My daughter, my husband’s last memory, is suffering because of you! You were scared, right? That if their grandmother gives Sahaan half of the property then what will your children?” She yells in anger.
And why won’t she? Her only daughter is always suffering because of her vicious sister in-law, Ayesha.
"Hammad, get the papers ready. I won't let my daughter suffer because of her anymore. Transfer 15% of the property on her children's name. Mother equally distributed the property among you all, yet she is so greedy that this is also not enough for her.” Sahaan’s mother, Saira instructs Hammad, not leaving any room for argument.
Hammad nods at her and leaves the ward to call the lawyer.
"But-" Saira’s mother-in-law is stopped by her.
