Shannon pushed the door open and stepped inside. The lighting was dim, and the three-story high walls were lined with shelves packed with various books.

The air was thick with the scent of ink, but not the usual oily ink smell of printed books.

Her gaze shifted, and she soon noticed a head poking out from between the gaps in the second-floor bookshelf. In no time, a man dressed in scholarly attire emerged fully from the gap in the bookshelf.
