Shannon murmured these words, her gaze finally resting on one specific word. "Severed… The Rift!"

Originally, Mike had been in the courtyard with Logan, flipping through the ancient array books Logan had brought.

Shannon, though aware of Mike's talent for working with arrays, hadn't expected him to have already started reconstructing The Rift on his own during her time away from Seastone.
