Scarlett merely shrugged, a casual expression on her face. "I have nowhere else to go. You know, I just returned from the alternate world last year, and Ghost Mist already had no place for me.

"With the headquarters destroyed and that person missing, I'm no longer part of Ghost Mist." She stepped closer, leaning in as she spoke. "How about I stay? The two of us could team up, maybe accomplish something together."

Jordan shot her a sharp glance, his rejection unwavering. "Not needed."
