Benjamin had scattered too much of his golden light for Shannon. She did not need him to do it again and refused to have him sacrifice more, especially when he was not whole.

Before giving Benjamin the chance to speak, she stepped forward to face Louise.

At this close distance, she could feel the crushing supernatural energy from Louise's being. It was an overwhelming force she currently shouldn't hope to match.
