Back to five minutes ago...
Kai grabbed Cornelius and flew toward a large lake on the outskirts. The silver-white dragon couldn't contain his malicious grin and sneered. "You called me hideous? I'll make you fall to your doom! Now, go take a bath!"
With that, he released his claws, and Cornelius plummeted rapidly toward the lake.
Kai intentionally delayed for three seconds before diving headfirst to catch Cornelius just before he hit the water.
However, when he flew down, he didn't see the expected look of panic or fear on Cornelius' face.
Instead, Cornelius coldly glanced at him, then spun mid-air to avoid Kai's claws and even slapped his head with his hand.
Kai was momentarily stunned by the hit. That moment of confusion was all it took for Cornelius to crash into the lake.
The lake's surface erupted in a massive splash, and a faint mist of blood hovered above the water.
Kai's eyes widened in shock, his silver-white dragon scales almost exploding off his body, his expression filled with panic.
He screamed, "I killed him! Cornelius, you bastard!' and dove into the lake, rushing to find Cornelius.
As a dragon, Kai had no trouble with water; it didn't affect him at all. He urgently searched the water's depths for Cornelius.
Then, through the bloodstained mist in the water, something caught his eye, something that left him completely speechless.
A blue-colored dragon tail swam quickly past him.
As the bloodstained mist slowly cleared, Kai could make out almost a reflection of himself—a dragon of similar build, but with scales of a striking blue hue.
In that instant, Kai's mind was flooded with questions.
Was there a dragon in this lake he had randomly chosen? Didn't they say dragons were rare? There were barely two in the entire Jamborough—how did he run into a second one so quickly?
