Chapter 1967 novel Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy
Shannon might have roughed up Steen a couple of times, but those had been out of necessity.
Deep down, she really liked giant pandas. Anyone would love the national treasures anyway.
Benjamin's eyes softened with understanding. Then, he said, "We'll lead them here."
As he spoke, he gently raised her hand. The two stood before the railing of the observation deck. Then, he slowly raised his other hand.
Shannon watched as specks of golden light danced in his palm before gently dispersing. As it did, it seemed to draw an invisible lure.
She soon heard the soft bleating of pandas, followed by the rustling sounds of hurried footsteps.
Looking up, seven or eight giant pandas waddled toward them from all directions. Their chubby bodies and clumsy acts made them irresistibly adorable, and the sight sent Shannon's heart trembling with delight.
She glanced at Benjamin and laughed a little. "You're using your golden light just to see some pandas?"

Benjamin looked at her and replied in a clear voice, "That's right. As long as I want to."
Shannon's eyes locked with his. After some time, she seriously said, "That includes me too."
She had been drawn to him by the same golden light. Though she hadn't instinctively tried to stick to him like the supernatural beings, the golden light did give her a natural urge to get closer.
Hearing her words, Benjamin's dark eyes flickered slightly. When he spoke again, his voice was a little hoarse. "You're different… You didn't come to me because of my golden light. I was drawn to you…"
