Eugene was completely stunned by the slap from the Mystic deliveryman.

In the room, Shannon and Benjamin were both surprised but only briefly. Neither of them moved to intervene.

As Eugene came back to his senses and was just about to speak, the delivery man calmly stated, "This is the second service your father requested—Supernatural Proxy Smack. He also asked me to deliver a message."

Right after finishing the sentence, the delivery man's neutral expression transformed. His eyebrows arched sharply, his face full of mock fury.

With another swift motion, he gave Eugene a firm slap on the head. His voice shifted as well, perfectly mimicking a parent's scolding tone.

"You rascal! Joining the mystical tournament doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! What on earth made you think you could offer up my item in your trade?

"Did it belong to you? Your sister has a rightful share in it, too! You didn't even ask; you just handed it out like candy! Why not trade yourself while you're at it, huh?

"Don't assume I can't do anything to you just because you're in a different city. I'm telling you—once the tournament is over, your sister and I are going to let you have a taste of our wrath!"

With the same tone and scolding cadence as Holden, Eugene was so caught off guard that he almost thought his dad was standing before him.

He dared not talk back and simply stood there clutching the box tightly to his chest, head lowered like a scolded puppy.

Once the Mystic deliveryman had finished fulfilling his client's request, he smoothly returned to his professional demeanor and added one last note.

"Your father said that as much as you're unreliable, you must uphold your end of the deal out of pure respect for the contract. Deliver the item as soon as possible, and don't create more trouble."

With that, the Mystic deliveryman gave the room a final glance, nodding politely to their colleague, Shannon, and her fiancé, then turned and vanished without a trace.

It wasn't until the deliveryman disappeared that Eugene finally moved, lowering his head to look at the box in his arms. A flicker of guilt crossed his face, late but genuine.
