Shannon was the first to speak. Her voice was cold but comforting, "Don't be afraid. Just close your eyes."

Mushy obediently closed her eyes, but she was still panicking. "Will closing my eyes do the job? What if they come for me when I close my eyes?"

"They won't," Skylar chimed in with a confident tone. "Because there are no ghosts in your room, and you did not run into any."

Mushy snapped her eyes open at his voice. She retorted, "How could there not be? They're right there!"
