The Jensens, including Scott, discreetly heaved a breath of relief. Shannon, however, remained calm as she knew Marie had something more to say.

As expected, she continued, "But I don't like whatever you're doing at the mystic school. You're the daughter of the Jensens; why are you attending a school like that? It's ridiculous. Since you've only just started, you might as well drop out now."

Her words quickly stunned the family, and even Hector displayed a frown. Despite that, he maintained his tender tone. "Like you said, Grandma, she's already started her semester. How can she drop out?"

"Why not?" Marie narrowed her eyes.

"Didn't you guys say she received several acceptance letters from a few prestigious universities? Just drop out of the mystic school and attend Liberty University. If that doesn't work, let her repeat a year. It's not like she can't get into a good university with her results."

She said it so matter-of-factly that Shannon found her laughable.

By then, Adam had long been fed up and rose with a stern look. "Mom, stop ordering her around. I agreed to let Shannon attend a mystic school."
