Before he could decide, the walkie-talkie crackled, and a senior officer in the car inquired, "What's going on?"

"Ms. Jensen is saying there's something wrong with the hearse driver. She believes there's no dead body inside."

The team leader stepped out of the vehicle and instructed Alden, "Do as she says. Check the vehicle."

Though Alden had no idea, the team leader had heard of Shannon's abilities through Calvin. Police officers like them were trained to adhere to evidence and facts, but they also had to respect the unknown.

Since the hearse had inconveniently stalled, there was no harm in investigating further.

The two officers walked over to the hearse, and Shannon and her team followed. The hearse driver who'd been frustrated with the stalled car glared at the police and cameras.

When the officers requested to inspect the coffin, the driver and the supposed "family member" in the passenger seat grew visibly nervous.

"No way!" The family member cried out, "My grandma passed away, and how could you do that to her? Does the police have the right to do that? I won't allow it!"

Others posing as family members in the back of the hearse quickly joined in and angrily protested against any attempts to inspect the coffin.
