When Bianca left for the restroom, Adan received a call from a strange number.

At first, he wanted to ignore the call, but then he remembered that he was expecting a call. His company was bidding for a construction tender for the biggest shopping mall building project in the Country.

So, he excused himself and went outside where it was quiet.

“Hello, Adan Nicholson speaking,” he answered in his usual professional voice.

Sobbing sounds echoed through the phone speaker, making Adan furrow his eyebrows.

“Hello? Who’s this?” He questioned.

“Adan… it’s me,” a tearful female voice echoed through the speakers.

“It’s you?” Adan replied, frowning. “You who?”

“Adan… don’t you remember me? It’s me…” the voice replied, breaking into sobs again.

“I don’t know anyone called me,” Adan remarked and cut the call before going to his call history and blocking the number.

He spent a few minutes outside, simply staring up at the dark sky, watching the twinkling stars light up the city.

When he returned inside, he frowned when he didn’t see Bianca. It had already been thirty minutes.

“Where’s Bee?” He asked Caleb. “Is she still in the restroom?”

Caleb glanced at Adan and remarked, “I thought she followed you outside, so I didn’t think much of it.”

“Could she have left?” Caleb asked.

“No, I was just outside. I would have seen her if she left,” Adan said, looking around. For some reason, he felt his stomach knot with nerves. “I’ll check the restroom.”

Adan went to the restroom and found a lady coming out.

“Excuse me, can you check for someone for me in there? They’ve been there quite a while,” Adan requested.

The lady with a punk look glanced at Adan and flirtatiously replied, “Handsome, there’s no one in there. But I can give you the attention you need.”

“No, thanks,” Adan rejected outright and rushed into the restroom. After checking all the cubicles, he confirmed that Bianca wasn’t there and his heart sank to his feet.

He took out his phone and tried her number but it redirected him to voice mail.

“Fuck!” He hissed, his jaw clenching as worry crept into him.

Where could she be?

“She’s not here?” Caleb’s voice echoed in the restroom after he followed Adan in. “Something’s off.”

Adan called his men who always followed him at a distance.

“I want this place shut down immediately. No one goes out or in. My fiancee is missing and I want her found,” Adan ordered, his voice cold and menacing.

An hour later, everyone in the club had been screened and all the footage had been watched but there was no sign of Bianca leaving the restroom after she went in.

“Mr Nicholson, I’m afraid we can’t locate Miss Jones-”
