Chapter 19 Promise It’s been two days since that It’s been two days since Athena last saw Dominic.

She couldn’t explain if that was good or bad.She felt at peace and was jumpy at the same time.She felt as if he would come out of nowhere any moment now and hurt her some more by his presence.

Yes, she feels hurt whenever she sees him.She feels like he was there to rub salt on the cuts which he had given her.

It hurts all the freaking time! It hurts so much! She let out a sigh as she forced herself out of his thoughts and concentrated on the work in hand.

She was staying at his mansion and taking care of it.

He has given off to all the maids.

So, the big mansion is on her shoulder to clean and take care of.

Currently she was cleaning the living room while Ace was with Suzanne and Patricia.She was s o lucky to have them as friends.She was really tired but she couldn’t take a rest.She has to mop the floors and clean the bathroom today as well.

"What are you doing?" She jumped hearing the sudden interruption.

She put her hands over her chest before turning around to look at Suzanne with a frown.

"You scared me!" She scowled at her.

"Don’t blame me.You are a werewolf.Shouldn’t you have been active enough to detect me long ago?" Suzanne asked with a frown as she took a seat on the couch.

Athena let out a sigh and sat beside her.

"Don’t ask, My wolf has been restless and unresponsive for the past few days.Maybe she needs a run or being her usual grumpy self." Athena said with a small roll of her eyes making Suzanne chuckle.

"Sounds like your wolf." She teased, earning a playful glare from Athena.

"Whatever.What are you doing here? Where is Ace?" Athena asked with a small frown.

"Don‘t worry.He is with Patricia and Justin.I thought of coming here to help you." Suzanne said with a small smile.

Athena smiled as well.

"Thank you, Suzanne.You did great by coming here.I wanted to talk to you about something for a long time."Athena suddenly got serious, making Suzanne nervous.She looked at her with a small frown.

"Sure, tell me.What is it? You look really worried about whatever it is.Tell me." Suzanne asked in a worried tone as she didn’t want to see her best friend upset.

Athena looked at Suzanne with a small frown, wondering if she should say this or not.

But at last she let out a sigh and looked at her with a serious look.

"It’s about alpha Derrick" She slowly said and looked at Suzanne with careful expression.

She noted Suzanne’s expression changing rapidly at the mention of Alpha Derrick Her expression went from worried to nervous.

And it made her think of something serious.

"Wh…what about him?" Suzanne asked in a nervous tone as she looked at Athena with widened eyes.

"He said something strange while cornering me with the bitches that day." Athena said with a frown as she tried to remember clearly what he said.
