Chapter 35: Red wine

 The party was going on in full swing but Athena was feeling irked and the feeling was so messed up that she couldn’t even explain why she was feeling so.

There were tons of reasons for her to feel like that.

First, the growing anxiousness in her heart for her life.

Then the stares of those hungry wolves looking at her as if they will jump at her for any reason and eat her alive.

They were giving her lust filled looks and her current defensive state to save herself was urging her to shift into her wolf form and kill each of them.

Only she knew how she was stopping herself.

But that wasn’t it.

The piercing eyes of Dominic was the last thing in her bucket that night.

His intense look was giving her chills down her spine.

She couldn’t think straight as the intensity was too high.

The only good thing that she was thankful of was that they arranged a children section as well.

Ace was playing there with fellow pups.

The kids are so cute and lovely that she doesn’t need to worry about him in her current state.

Because that’s the last thing she would want in her life, to upset him by her wrong behaviour when she isn’t in the right state of her mind.

"A red wine for a beautiful red queen."

Suddenly someone spoke up and stood in front of her with a glass of red wine.

The voice was masculine and husky, and sounded good.

But she kept her facial expression void of any emotions.

At first, she looked at the forwarded hand with the same blank look.

She moved her gaze from his forwarded hand to his muscled arms, biceps and fitted body to his handsome face.

All the while, her right eyebrow kept raising in appreciation.

And boy! Was he handsome?! After being satisfied with what she saw, she forwarded her hand to accept the glass of wine, ignoring the obvious glare received from Dominic.

Her eyes met his golden flashed eyes for a split second before she quickly moved her eyes away and smiled at the man.

"You know that you shouldn’t be calling me the queen while standing at the ceremony of the actual queen of the pack." She said with a smirk while a small sip from the glass.

The man smirked hearing her and she instantly noticed the dimple on his right cheek, making him look insanely cute.

It made her blush.

For sure her emotions were at places at that moment.

She immediately heard a growl as soon as she thought of the mysterious man whose name she was yet to know.She frowned and looked at his back to see Dominic literally fuming in anger while glaring at the back of the man in front of her.

What’s wrong with him?! She thought and immediately a frown adored a face.

She felt a warm touch on her forehead where the frown was, shocking her.

This time she didn’t bother herself from looking at Dominic as looked at the man with a small frown.

"Frown in your face is like the cloud on the moon, both are covering the beauty.That’s not good." He said with a smile, making her look at him with a raised eyebrow.

So, he was a talker as well!
