Chapter 8 novel Hiding His Baby: The Alpha's Rejected Mate
His orders and her threats “I would like to talk to her. Leave us alone everyone, right now.”
Everyone looked at the door and saw Stacey standing there with a polite smile on her face. Her chin was held up in pride and sophistication. She looked somewhat powerful. Athena wondered what was the source of her power.
“Good morning, Luna.” Nathan said in a neutral tone and received a small nod for Stacey.
” Luna, I am afraid you can’t talk to her alone without the alpha’s permission.” He added after that. His tone was serious.
“As the Luna of the pack, I get to decide with whom I will talk and how. So, leave.” Stacey said i n authority in her tone.
Athena looked at her from head to toe with a judgemental look on her face. She likes to call herself a judgemental bitch but she is not guilty for that. It gives her a little power over the opposite person because most of the time she turns out to be right. Suzanne looked at Athena worriedly which she noticed. Athena nodded at her calmly before looking at Stacey.
“I am not a member of the pack. So, you are not my Luna. Do I get to decide if I want to talk or not?” Athena asked casually with a raised eyebrow.
“The least you can do is to show gratitude toward the pack by being a little bit respectful toward their Luna. Now you decide.” Stacey replied back smartly as well.
She was trying to rub the fact that she was the ‘Luna’ again and again. Athena noticed that and she didn’t like that.
“Suzy, can you please take Ace and feed him something while I show my gratitude toward’ Luna’?” Athena said with a little bit of taunt which everyone in the room could read.
“He can stay.” Stacey spoke up while looking at Ace with an intense look. As if she was trying to figure out something.
“I don’t want him to stay and learn negativity. It’s not good for him. Mother’s care, you see.” Athena said with a way too sweet smile.
Stacey looked at her with a blank face before looking away with crossed arm over her chest. After that Athena looked down at Ace who was still being a koala and looking up at her with big curious eyes.
“Baby, can you please go with aunt Suzy? Mommy will be back to you soon.” She said in a sweet tone.
“Do you promise?” Ace asked in a sad voice while tightening his hold around her.
“Yes, baby. I promise, my love.” Athena said before kissing both his cheeks lovingly. He kissed her back before Suzanne took him in her arms.
“Don’t lose shit.” Suzanne whispered to her which everyone heard anyway. Freaking werewolf superpower! Athena smirked at her. After that Nathan and Suzanne left the room with Ace. Stacey closed
the door behind her after they left before walking toward her with a serious expression on her face.
She stopped just in front of Athena’s bed and looked at her with a blank look on her face. Athena gave her a blank look as well. There was a cold silence which no one was trying to break.
“I am Stacey, the Luna of the Crescent Mystery pack.” Stacey broke the silence at last before forwarding her hand toward Athena for a handshake.
“Hello, Stacey. I am Athena. Nice to meet you.” Athena took her hand before giving her a firm shake. She was very calm and composed outside while the scene was completely different for her wolf who was very restless and… in fury.
“Everyone here calls me Luna only other than my mate, the Alpha, Dominic.” Stacey said with a small frown.
“Well, as I mentioned earlier, I do not belong here which doesn’t make you my Luna as well. I think that’s fair enough.” Athena said with a small smile.
The smile said it clearly that she is not going to change her decision.
Stacey didn’t say anything after that as she started walking around. She walked toward the tool and brought it near the bed. She sat down in front of Athena before giving her a smile back as well.
“Fair enough.” She said with a small nod.
“By the way, what a beautiful child you have. He is very lovely.” Stacey said with a very polite smile.
Way too sweet smile which Athena didn’t like. She looked at her with a frown.
“Yes, he is a very sweet child until someone breaks his rules.” Athena replied with a smirk. Stacey looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
“His rules? How old is he to have rules? And what are the rules?” Stacey asked in an interesting tone.
Stacey was behaving very friendly with Athena which she didn’t like. She didn’t know why but she just didn’t. Her skin was burning with Stacey’s every friendly and sweet words and smiles.
‘God, can you throw her out of here already! Her voice is irritating me beyond limit.’ Her wolf snapped in her mind, making her chuckle. Stacey looked at her with a questioning look before looking up at a frowning Stacey.
“Sorry for that, I just remembered one of his funny rules.” She said, “He is two years old. And his first and most important rule is do not mess with his mommy.” She added with a smirk.
“Otherwise?” Stacey asked with a raised eyebrow.
