"Dominic?"

Athena called him softly while taking slow steps toward him.

They managed to convince her at last into taking the responsibility of calming him down. She also understood the importance of it because Dominic really needed to calm down at that moment.

She didn’t know what happened that triggered him so much but she needed to stop him from adding another problem to his list by killing his own pack members.

But her voice did nothing to him at first. He didn’t move nor did he look at her.He seemed determined of whatever was going on in his head.

So, she decided to close the distance between them some more and put her right hand on his shoulder hesitantly.

That seemed to break the trance he was in and he snapped his head toward her with his eyes still holding the glare in.

She almost flinched at the ruthlessness in his eyes and that did the rest of the work to bring him out of his stance completely.

No matter what he could never ever see her being scared of him.

"Put him down, Dominic." She said in a soft and assuring tone while looking deep into his eyes.

She didn’t move her hand away from his shoulder instead it got firmer as she conveyed something through her eyes.

It worked, he slowly put the man down on his feet while still looking deep into her eyes, looking for something.

What was it? A little assurance, maybe.

But for what? She didn’t know the answer and he didn’t have the answer.

The man immediately fell on the ground as soon as he was freed from Dominic’s hold.

He coughed a little before he scurried away from Dominic.

"Everyone, go back to your work.Remember to not to do anything such ever again. Now leave."

Nathan quickly said in a strict tone.

He wanted to get these people away from there as soon as possible before Dominic loses his temper again.

They immediately started to shuffle away to leave but before they could take a step away from them, Dominic let out another growl, stopping them on their feet immediately.

"No one is going to go anywhere until I say so." He said while still looking at her.

He didn’t show any emotions even for a second in those few minutes they were looking at each other.

"Go easy on them, please."

Athena passed the request in a whispering tone as she knew that ordering or commanding an alpha when he was angry can never prove to be a good idea, Dominic tore his eyes away from her alluring eyes with a lot of difficulty before fixing them back on his people.

He kept her request.

His eyes weren’t as ruthless as before as he looked at them with his head held high.

"Do you guys realise that what you guys were trying to do was wrong?" He asked in a calm but angry tone.

The pack members looked down in shame before nodding their head at him.

"Yes, alpha."

They murmured shamefully.

"Did you guys imagine what would have happened if you had done something to her? A war would have broken out.Do you think you guys are prepared enough for a war at this moment? What would have happened then?" He asked, his tone was getting calmer every second as he wanted them to understand what they did was wrong.

And he knew shouting or getting angry at them was not going to help much.
