I know what happened to you
"Caroline!" Mary's loud voice rang out as I sat down at the table.
As soon as she saw me, she immediately embraced me and brought the bag she and Aunt Jes were carrying along with her. I noticed Aunt Jes smiling at me from behind her.
Mary then sat down next to me.
Andrius had to leave early this morning because of an issue at his company. I heard the sound of his car before he left, even though it was still dark outside. He couldn't go to work yesterday because we spent the entire day kissing and snuggling with each other.
Throughout my slumber, I couldn't help but dwell on the belief that it was my own fault for causing him to miss work yesterday.
"It was too early when we left that place! My head and body were hurting," she complained, stretching her bones. She also touched her neck, expressing discomfort. "Going on vacation can be so exhausting! I am so hungry!"
As I was preparing to savor bacon with bread, she unexpectedly snatched the peanut butter and popped it open, causing my eyes to widen.
"No, don't open it!" I shouted.
I snatched it from her grip and hurriedly made my way to the garbage bin.
‘How could I have forgotten to dispose of it?'
Lost in my thoughts, I felt the urge to smack my head against the wall, realizing that I was still indulging in worldly desires while talking with Mary.
"Just peanut butter! You're evil!" She jokingly pushed me and stared at me when I returned to the chair.
I hold Aunt Jes and Mary in high regard. They introduced me to hobbies and guided me in moving past the trauma I had endured. I deeply appreciated all their efforts and support.
Due to her remark, I burst into laughter to divert attention from the fanciful thoughts occupying my mind.
Even though I knew it would be difficult to believe, I replied, "I actually left it out yesterday, and unfortunately, a rat ate it! There's even a possibility of it being poisonous! It's truly unfortunate that someone as lovely as you might not be able to get married, if that ever happens!"
Fortunately, Mary was gullible and just chuckled at my remark.
It's Sunday, and as I contemplate my day, I can't help but feel a sense of uncertainty.
