"What kind of attitude do you want from me?" Her hair was a mess, sprawled across the pillow, and her beautiful eyes were bloodshot. "If you really want someone who listens to you, go find Nova. Don't bother me."
"Tell me, did you meet up with Aaron?" His big hand moved around her neck. "Hmm?"
"No."
"Really?" He squeezed a bit, making Eliza scream in pain. "Did you or didn't you?"
"No, no, no!" She shook her head frantically, struggling pointlessly.
By chance, her hand touched something.
It only took a second before she raised the kitchen knife high and aimed for his heart.
Casper caught her wrist. He looked shocked. "You wanna kill me?"
The kitchen knife was just something Eliza grabbed on a whim. She didn't really want to kill him; he was just pushing her too far.
He exerted a bit of force, and the knife fell from Eliza's hand.
All interest was gone, and his eyes turned cold. He stood up, got dressed, and kicked the knife away.
"Eliza, you’ve really outdone yourself. Do you wanna kill me? Think you got what it takes?"
Her legs trembled as she shakily pulled on her clothes.
She had thought about it; if she couldn’t kill him, she'd kill herself. But... it didn’t go as planned.
Casper was beyond pissed, his chest heaving violently. He swept a vase off the shelf with his hand.
"Fine, fine." He almost ground his teeth to dust. After smashing a few more ornaments, his sharp gaze turned to her. "I really underestimated you, huh? Were you planning to make yourself a widow?"
He roared, and Eliza cowered in fear.
Suddenly, he pressed down on her shoulder, his dark eyes hidden in the dim light, making his handsome face even more intimidating.
"Eliza, do you know what the consequences are? Do you?" He grabbed her hair, forcing her to look up. "Who taught you this? Who? Tell me."
"Go buy a dress, size S."
Half an hour later, Faithe knocked on the lounge door with a Chanel bag in hand. "Mr. Casper, I’ve bought the clothes."
"Leave it outside."
"Okay."
Faithe didn’t know who the clothes were for. From her observation, they didn’t seem like Nova's size.
Could Casper have another woman?
Casper took the clothes into the lounge and tossed them to Eliza. "Change your clothes. We're heading to the family estate."
She was silent.
He snapped irritably, "Do you need my help changing?"
