Stacey shut her eyes as she leaned against the door. She couldn't' bear to see the rage in Nick's face. She is shaking. She opened her eyes when she felt him in front of her. He was breathing raggedly. His warm breath which smelled of alcohol fanned her face. She found the scent sensual. He had his arms on either side of her head. His palms are on the door.

"I don't want to touch because the last thing I want is hurt you. Answer me honestly! Where the f*ck have you been?!"

With her heart in her mouth, "I-I w-went to Eve.. honey!" she cried out when Nick hit the door with a lot of force before he moved away from her.

"F*CK!!!!" he swore furiously. He was blinded with fury thinking that Blake was with them too.

She shrieked when Nick picked up the single sofa and threw it to the wall with full force. It almost hit the plasma tv.

She sobbed when he turned to her . His eyes are spitting fire. She didn't know that his reaction would be like this. He was violent. Now she regretted going to Lucille's to console Eve. She covered her face with her hands while murmuring sorry repeatedly.

Nick grabbed her forearm. She had to uncover her face and looked at his enraged eyes.

" Why are you saying sorry? Is it because you were with Eve's *sshole of a cousin too?!"

She shook her head. " I-I was only with Eve and Lucille."

He shook her a little. "Where did you go with that f*cking asshole?!" he asked totally ignoring what she said .

"Honey.. your'e hurting me..please... I was with Eve and Lucille, their former pianist," she said in between sobs.

He is just looking at her face which is now wet with tears. Her lips are trembling a little.

" I am saying sorry because I wasn't able to call you. Eve was hysterical so I panicked and hurriedly hailed a taxi . I was with Eve and Lucille . It was just the 3 of us..I swear."

She moved when he motioned her to get away from the door. He angrily got out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

She put her face in her hands and cried again. Nick seemed to be a different person when he was enraged. This was the worst so far and it was her fault. If she had to repeatedly say sorry to him, she would.

She removed her hands and wiped her face with the back of her hand. When her sobbing subsided, she went out.

Nick opened a new bottle of whiskey. He drank some of it straight from the bottle. Because of his jealousy, he almost hit her. He decided to get out of the bedroom before things could go worst.

"I will kill that f*cking bastard!!"

She was near the kitchen and heard him and she felt her skin crawled.

Nick's hands which are clenched are on the kitchen counter. His back is on her. She took a deep breath. She loved this man so much and she would make him listen to her.

Mustering all her courage, she said. "H-Honey, I comforted Eve because she was hysterical. Someone saw her fiance with a pregnant woman. I admit it was my fault that I didn't tell you before going to her because I panicked. It slipped my mind. I was in a hurry . I was so worried about Eve. I am really sorry. It thought of calling you when I was in the taxi but my battery ran out. I love you honey. I will never cheat on you."

Nick's back straightened but he didn't say anything.

" Please believe me that Blake is just a friend. Nothing more. What do you want me to do so you will finally listen to me? " her voice is pleading.

He slowly turned to face her. His face looks grim. He was in a black long sleeves and the front was unbuttoned. His muscled torso and six pack are exposed. His angry face somehow added to his sex appeal. She bit her bottom lip.

"Are you the reason why they broke up?" he asked in a clipped tone.

Surprised registered on her pretty face. GOSH! How did he know about that? She asked herself.

His eyes narrowed. "Why look so surprised honey? You know that I am capable of doing anything and everything. " his voice was very cold.

She shook her head slowly.

"But you know that they broke up already?" he asked

"Eve told me." her voice sounded so small.

"Go on honey tell me what Eve said about the break-up." his tone was low but every word was like icicle.

"S-She said that Blake had been hearing rumors that his girlfriend was cheating with a pilot but unfortunately she is saying that it was Blake who was cheating her. " she explained as she looked directly at his eyes. She almost cringed when she saw his expression but she continued, " Her mother saw us at the seafood restaurant. She told Kristel that I was Blake's girlfriend." she cowered after saying the last part. She heard his deep intake of breath before he cursed angrily.

"I will f*cking watch the video from that restaurant first thing in the morning!!" he rasped.
