She felt her knees wobble so she sat down again.

Can Nick really do that to Blake?

"Girflfriend, I will just wait for you here. " She heard Eve say.

"E-Eve.. I don't want Nick and I to argue again. He is jealous of Blake. Let's just set another date to meet. "

Her friend sighed before saying yes.

Nick frowned when he saw Stacey sitting on her chair but her mind seemed elsewhere. He felt guilty. He had been harsh on her since last night. He thought that he had to really loosen up a bit. Many times he had proven her honesty to him anyway.

"Honey?"he called her.

She looked at him and blinked twice. Nick saw something in her eyes. He was confused what it is exactly. He was not sure if it was fear, uncertainty, disappointment or hope?

She lowered her face and pretended to be busy looking for something on the table. "How was the meeting?" she asked tonelessly.

She didn't see him combed his hair with his hand. He couldn't bear this kind of treatment from her . She sounded cold and uncaring.

He walked to her. He took her left hand and pulled her to him. He was drinking in her lovely face. He traced the side of her face with his index finger.

"I'm sorry honey. I have been a brute but you know why don't you?" he asked gently.

She closed her eyes for a moment before moistening her lips. "I get really all tensed up when you are angry honey." she said in a small voice.

Nick hugged her tightly.

"I really am so sorry honey. The last thing that I want is to make you afraid of me. I just can't bear the thought of other men near you." he said in a cold tone.

She rested the side of her face on his chest. She really loves him. All of him. "I love you honey. " she said.

He moved her a little to see her face. He cupped it then kissed her lightly on the lips. "I love you honey." he said.

Her eyes widened." W-What?" she stuttered.

Gosh! Nick loves me? He loves me? She asked herself.

His lips broke into his signature sexy smile. "I said I..LOVE..YOU..honey." he repeated.

A wide smile lightened her face. Her inner Aphrodite was extremely pleased.

"You do?" Disbelief was evident in her question.

He nodded while grinning from ear to ear. "I do honey. Very much.." he whispered as his lips slowly went down on hers.

A fountain of invisible sparks filled the room as their lips met. She touched his hands on either side of her face. Then they heard a knock.

"Sorry mate! I knocked twice I swear!" Billy peeked from behind the door. He was beaming.

Nick raked his hand through his hair and in a displeased voice asked, " What is it now Billy?!" He pulled her to his side. His arm snaked around her.

"Mate! Your mom said that you will have dinner later! Can I come? I miss her cooking!"

"No. Besides she won't do the cooking. The chef will take care of the food.." he said but with a trace of humor in his voice.

With a look of disappointment, Billy entered the room and carelessly sat on the sofa. Nick chuckled when she playfully pinched his arm. He deliberately said that to get back at his friend.

He kissed her cheek. "He can come next time." he whispered to her.

She nodded. " I will leave you two alone."

He frowned slightly. "Where are you going?"

She pouted. "I will print out something" she said.

"Cherry can do that for you."

"Dang mate! Let Stacey go. She's not leaving the building anyway. And besides I need to tell you something." Billy butted in.

She smiled at him. "Thanks Billy."

He touched her hand then kissed it . His brother cleared his throat.

"I hope this time Stacey is the one." he joked.

Nick chuckled. " You bet she is." he said.

"This is the first time that Nicholas introduced his girlfriend to us. " his mother commented.

"That's because she is my first and my last girlfriend. " came Nick's voice and everyone nodded their heads.

"Well she is gorgeous. You chose well son! " his father said.

The conversation was very relaxed while they had their desserts. Nick was the doting boyfriend.

After coffee, the men proceeded to the study room to talk about business.

"Stacey I like you for my son and I want you to see where he grew up. I will show you around the house." his mother said.

The house was very spacious. It had a lot of rooms. Every corner screams wealth.

"And this is Nick's room." His mother announced after opening a door.

"Nick is an achiever. You will see all the proofs of his success." Vivien whispered to her.

It is a huge room. The walls are painted white and light blue. There was a big bed at the center.

"Come here Stacey, look at all these." Nick's mother walked to the glassed cabinet where many medals, a lot of trophies and certificates are.

Her cheeks lost color with what she saw on the wall near the cabinet. There were framed diplomas and certificates.
