Patrick stopped before her and stared at her with a faint smile. "Lauren, I came here to find you. I have asked you out many times recently, but you always said that you were busy. You reject my pursuit and even don't want me to be your friend?"

Lauren smiled, "Don't be silly. People will misunderstand you. You are the eldest child of the Hastings family. How can anyone reject you?"

"Lauren, you are always like this. You rejected me before, and now, you please me. How can I bear to get over you?"

Patrick smiled, but his eyes never moved away from Lauren's face.

He looked handsome, but there was evil inside him. He was also shrewd and calculating.

Lauren maintained a smile. She cleverly changed the subject and asked, "Patrick, can I help you with anything?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to see if you were okay. I'm a little worried about you."

He meant something, and Lauren understood it immediately.

Patrick said, "Benjamin is embarrassing you by doing this. Lauren, do you insist on staying with him? He has promised Felix and Larry that he will not divorce Harper, and he even plans to have a child."

"He just plans to have a baby, and it doesn't mean Harper is pregnant, right?"
