Chapter 116 Come with Me

Watching his reaction, Harper found that he genuinely liked children.

She even considered whether to tell him that the child was already there, wondering what his reaction would be.

However, that thought was quickly dismissed.

Harper thought to herself, "His biggest reaction would probably be that he could give Lauren a child, right?"

So she decided not to tell him.

Benjamin stared at her without blinking for a moment. Just as he was about to respond, his phone rang first.

Glancing at the caller ID, he instinctively declined the call. Harper could guess who might be calling from his actions.

So, she said, "Julie and I planned to go out together. If there's nothing urgent, we'll leave first."

Benjamin immediately asked, "When are you moving back?"

"I don't plan to move back for now." Harper furrowed her brows.

Benjamin stared at her, about to speak, when his phone rang again. He frowned slightly before answering, "What's up?"

Harper glanced at him, then was about to leave. Benjamin grabbed her wrist to stop her.

The woman on the other end of the call whispered, "Benjamin, are you free now? Can you accompany me to see a therapist? I have an appointment, but I'm a bit scared after going alone..."

"I'll have Curtis go with you."

Seeing her slightly red wrist, he asked in an irritated tone, "So, you don't care about whatever happens between Lauren and me?"

"Is it important to you whether I care or not?" Harper asked with a chuckle and a hint of indifference in her expression.

The tension between them grew heavier. Julie, sensing things might escalate further, quickly interjected, "Mr. Martin, Harper, maybe both of you should say a little less. This is a private matter between you couple, better discussed in private. It's not good to be overheard by so many people here."

With a stern face, Benjamin asked, staring at Harper, "You moved out to cool off because of having a child. Now, as a wife, you seem indifferent to everything concerning your husband. What's next, Harper? What do you plan to do next?"

"Are you going to agree to whatever I want to do?"

"What do you mean?"

"Benjamin, I don't mean anything. I just think, aren't you tired of this? On one hand, you can't bear to leave Lauren, always rushing to her side whenever she needs you. On the other hand, you rush over during work hours because you're worried I might be pregnant. Benjamin, we should divorce, what do you think?"
