Chapter 137 How Clingy

"It's not like I go out every day. I've only been out twice, and never this late," Harper explained.

"Do you realize how dangerous it is for you to go out alone at night? You're not allowed to do it again," Benjamin insisted firmly.

Harper remained silent, unpacking the shopping bag and placing its contents into the refrigerator.

Benjamin, clearly displeased, strode over and shut the refrigerator door, pressing Harper against it. "Harper, I'm talking to you. Did you get what I said?"

They were standing very close to each other.

Harper was taken aback, looking up at him. His deep eyes held an authoritative gaze that brooked no refusal.

"Harper, answer me!" He repeated.

Harper replied, "Understood." Then she pushed him away.

She thought, "Did he even realize how hot and uncomfortable it is being this close, especially when we could feel each other's breath so clearly?"

But Benjamin remained in this spot. His chest was like a solid wall she couldn't move.

Growing impatient, Harper said, "Move aside."

"You don't want me to touch you?" he asked, his gaze lingering on her rosy lips as he grew emotional.

Harper sensed the change in atmosphere. She understood Benjamin's temperament well, and if she opposed him, it would only backfire.

She pursed her lips and softly replied, "It's not that."

"Really?" He pressed.

"Yes, really."

"Then look at me when you answer."

Reluctantly, Harper met his gaze. "It's really not that."

He looked at her, softly saying, "Then kiss me."

She froze as her gaze flickered. "Why?"

"Why do you need a reason to kiss me?"

"Is it an order?" she asked, pressing her lips.

Benjamin paused, then said lightly, "Do I have to give an order for you to want to kiss me?"
