Chapter 269 Are You Interested?

Harper felt it would be inappropriate for her to stay any longer. She stood up and pointed to the door. Frank nodded gently and watched Harper leave and close the door for him.

Frank remained silent while listening to Michelle's unreasonable argument.

It wasn't until Michelle reached her limit that he asked, "Michelle, what did you promise me before coming to Mayby? If you continue like this, I will send you back."

Michelle said quickly, "Frank, I was wrong, but I did it all for you..."

"Okay. I'm going to work."

Frank hung up the phone directly. He threw the phone on the desk with a dark face. He was in a very depressed mood.

After regaining his composure, Frank went to Harper's office with the project he had been on the verge of discussing with her.

The project was an architecture competition organized by the Martin Group. It was officially announced half a year ago. The qualifying round would take place next month. There would be a total of three rounds, consisting of a qualifying round, a semi-final, and a final, which would determine the winner, runner-up, and third-place finisher.

Frank had mentioned to Harper before that the winner, runner-up, and third-place finisher could enter the country's top architectural design institute, and the champion would be recommended by the design institute to become the chief architect of the city's iconic building.

This was undoubtedly a one-off.

For architects, it was an opportunity and a dream.

If gaining admission to the design institute was the pinnacle, then becoming the chief architect of a city's iconic building was the pinnacle of pinnacles.

Frank explained the rules of the competition in detail so that Harper could understand them. He asked, "Harper, what do you think? Are you interested?"

Harper did not give an answer immediately.

The competition lasted for three months. If it was simply because of pregnancy, she could say yes.

But she was hesitant.

She said, "I need to ponder about it."

It was a cloudy day. The breeze was very comfortable. Harper stood on the side of the road, waiting for Benjamin.

However, she had only been there for about two or three minutes when a white car stopped in front of her. She subconsciously raised her head, thinking it was Benjamin, but it was Michelle.

Michelle closed the car door hard, walked up to Harper in an imposing manner, and said sharply, "Harper, why are you so shameless? Why do you always pester Frank? Can you stay away from him?"

Harper frowned slightly and said coldly, "Michelle, he and I are friends, and I'm married, so you can rest assured that I won't pester him."

"You're already married but still so shameless. Harper, you are a bitch! You did it on purpose. Couldn't you sever ties with him and have no contact with him?"

Michelle's voice was audible, drawing the attention of many people as it was time to get off work.

Harper was helpless. Without the desire to continue arguing with Michelle, she prepared to walk forward to distance herself from her.

Unexpectedly, Michelle, as if going crazy, turned around and got into the car. Then, she stepped on the accelerator and drove towards Harper, catching her completely off guard.
