That afternoon, after signing the lease transfer agreement, I moved into a hotel my parents had arranged for me.

Ethan, still clueless, kept texting me from different numbers:

"Lila, I heard you moved out of your apartment."

"You must be planning to move in with me, right?"

"Since we're not married yet, it's not appropriate for you to live at my place, so I bought you a house."

"Pack your things and move in. I'll send you the address."

"Lila, why aren't you replying or answering my calls?"

"Are you testing me?"

I blocked every number he used to contact me.
