Startled by the sudden call of her name, Maya looked up to see it was Easton speaking to her.

“What is it?” Maya asked.

“Something Ellis likes. Easton replied indifferently.

Having already seen the man who’d escorted Ellis home, Easton’s next steps were clear: identify that man and let Carly know to stop introducing Ellis to all these random guys

“Alright,” Maya agreed reluctantly.

It wasn’t that she wanted to help Easton; she was more worried about what would happen if she didn’t. If she refused, would Easton stick around, waiting for Ellis?

After handing the item off to Maya, Easton didn’t linger; he left promptly. Maya watched–no, supervised–his departure before trying to call Ellis again. Still no answer!
