Seraphina decided she didn’t want to stay any longer. She gave a small smile, made an excuse, and left with Wilson. 

As soon as they stepped outside, before they even reached the car, she heard her name being called. 

Seraphina turned to see Lila jogging over; her dress lifted slightly as she approached with a smile. 

“I need to talk to you privately.” 

Seraphina raised an eyebrow, wondering if Lila had taken Lucius’s nonsense seriously. 

Was she going to ask her to explain that she and Kaveh had nothing going on? 

The more she explained, the more obvious it would become. 

As she hesitated, Wilson walked over. He suggested, “Let’s head to the car; there are too many people here.” 

Seraphina nodded in agreement. It was probably for the best. 

The driver had been considerate enough to park a little distance away, leaving the two of them alone. 

After a brief silence, Seraphina spoke hesitantly, “Actually, Kaveh and I really don’t have anything-” 

Lila smiled. “I know. He told me a while ago.” 

Seraphina froze, then relaxed her expression. Lila could have said that sooner. 

“He said he used to fall for you.” 

Lila spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world. 

Seraphina frozen again, unable to smile. 

Was Kaveh out of his mind? 

Lila observed her discomfort and the tension in her posture, as though she was on the verge of anger. She patted her hand gently in reassurance.

Lila’s tone shifted, becoming more serious. “I’m planning to hire more people. Right now, it’s just me in the firm, and I’m overwhelmed. If I had some professionals to help, I think we’d get a lot more done?” 

Seraphina smiled, relieved. 

So it was something important. 

“That sounds good. You take the lead on this; it’s your call.” 

Lila shook her head. “You’re the investor, and you have experience. Your opinion matters a lot. I can’t move forward until you approve.” 

Seraphina smiled again and said, “Alright, I fully approve.” 

It was a small investment for her, nothing too significant. 

But for Lila, it was her dream, her passion, something worth dedicating her life to. 

Lila earnestly shared more of her thoughts, and Seraphina carefully offered her feedback. 

In the end, they reached an agreement, and Lila happily returned to her hotel. 

As they got into the car, the driver asked, “Miss, shall we head home?” 

Just as Seraphina was about to answer, the door beside her opened again. Wilson stepped in, a smirk on his face. 

“I hope you don’t mind me tagging along.” 

Seraphina chuckled and said, “Of course not.” 

She turned to the driver and said, “First, drop Mr. Rockwell off at the Hilton.” 

Wilson spoke up before she could continue. “Take me to Elysian Park.” 

Seraphina raised an eyebrow, surprised. Elysian Park was the rich part of town–exclusive, expensive homes that were worth a fortune. 

It was on par with the mansion where Orion lived. 

Wilson smiled lightly, as if it were nothing. 

“I won’t be going back to New Town for a while. A friend of mine told me that living in hotels won’t help me meet a girlfriend, so I bought a house.” 

Seraphina felt her face heat up, uncertain if he was serious about pursuing her or if the house meant he planned to stay in Eldoria for a long time.
