Chapter 557 Zora’s Child 

Zora paused, biting her lip before nodding reluctantly.

“When I first started my career, he supported me. But after a while, he got bored, and we parted ways. I gave birth to the child without telling him. 

“But he’s capable of abusing children. He often visits orphanages, giving gifts, but it’s just a cover for his cruelty” 

She pulled out a few photographs, showing Tony holding a bruised and battered child, his smile radiant and sickening. 

Instantaneously, Seraphina felt a wave of disgust toward this man that nearly overwhelmed her. 

Zora was on high alert and incredibly nervous. She revealed. He has leverage over me. If I show up, he would rather kill me than spare the child. Please, you have to help me to bring the child out of his room. 

Seraphina’s resolve wavered. 

It seemed like Zora was telling the truth, but she was a professional actress–how could she be sure? 

Should she trust Zora? 

Just then, Thomas hurried over with something in his hand. He was surprised when he caught sight of Zora. 

“Ms. Cross, here’s the contract. Please have a look” 

Seraphina pondered over this, and she stood up and instructed, “Keep Tony occupied.” 

Thomas was stunned, watching as the duo turned and headed for the elevator. 

“Do you know which room?” 

Zora nodded and said, “I do!” 

When they reached Tony’s room, Zora was visibly nervous and scared. 

Seraphina gave her a reassuring glance before stepping forward to knock on the door. 

A moment later, the door cracked open just a sliver, revealing a man who looked like a bodyguard, his eyes sharp and wary. 

“Who are you looking for?” 

Inside, the silence was broken only by the faint sound of a child crying, muffled as if someone was trying to 

silence them. 

Seraphina smiled faintly and said, “I’m with Cross Group. Mr. Abbott sent me to wait for him in the room.” 

The bodyguard eyed her suspiciously. She was beautiful, radiant, and vaguely familiar–perhaps it wasn’t impossible. 

Just as he reached for his phone to confirm her identity, Seraphina kicked the door open with a swift 

motion.

Fortunately, she had dressed casually today; otherwise, it might have been harder to act quickly. 

The bodyguard reacted, stepping forward to block her, reaching out with a hand to strike at her neck. 

Seraphina swiftly twisted his arm and, with a sickening crack, dislocated his shoulder. 

The motion was fast, decisive, and almost impossibly efficient. 

The bodyguard stared at her in stunned disbelief. He hadn’t expected this woman to have such skills, and he’d been 100 careless. 

Seizing the moment, Zora had already slipped past the bodyguard and gone into the room. 

The bodyguard recognized Zora, his stomach sinking. He rushed to stop her, but Seraphina was quick to react, grabbing his arm and kicking him aside. 

She looked delicate, but her strength was remarkable. 

The bodyguard grunted in surprise as a stranger’s voice echoed from inside the room. 

“Let go of her, you filthy b*tch! Give me the child!” 

Zora was crying hysterically, “She’s mine! She’s my child!” 

She loudly smashed something on the floor, followed by the sound of glass shattering. 

Moments later, Zora emerged, clutching a little girl in her arms. 

Seraphina signaled for her to go ahead. Zora wasted no time as she ran away. 

Seraphina lingered behind, glancing at the bodyguard who was still struggling, seemingly intent on doing. his job. She sneered coldly, then turned and walked out. 

As she stepped outside, the voice of the mysterious woman called out again. 

“Go to hell. All of you! Just die!” 

A cold gust 

of wind swept past her, and she instinctively knew something was wrong. 

Before she could react, a sharp tug on her arm pulled her to the side. 

Suddenly, a loud crash of broken glass filled the air as shards fell where she had just been standing. 

Seraphina collided with a broad, warm chest. 

Familiar, yet foreign. 

“Mr. Rockwell?”
