Chapter 64

It didn’t take long though for my fantasy to end.

AA groan involuntarily slips out of my lips as I am pelted back, once again, the fucking second time around by another person. His grip is tight on my wrist as he pulled me off of Enochor the man I’m making out with, hallucinating Enoch’s

face on him

My mind is a blur of tequila and must have been drugs from how much I’m tripping. Taryn?Liam’s voice cut through the air as I’m once again being dragged out of the parking lot and to the elevator doors.

I blink my eyes once and then twice the second one who’s ruined my fun for the night after Liam pulled me away from that dancer, now this man pulled me off of my makeshift Enoch. Damn it.

He throws me inside the elevator and I wobble with my heels on. Taryn!I could hear Liam’s voice running and the small of his silhouette trying to go after me but the doors were closing and by the time he was a meter away, itt was already closed,

Silence reigned over the man and me. The only sound was the occasional creaking of the elevator. But this is calming my alcoholinfused head so that’s okay.

My brow furrow as I stare at the man who has his back on me. The walls are mirrorlike, so without asking for his name, I try to figure his appearance out. He’s a sixfoot something black man by how much he’s towering over me and almost hitting the ceiling of this small moving box. His hair is cut into a thin buzzcut and he’s standing like a bouncer.

Who is this? He looksfamiliar.

Who-I try to ask, voice groggy. But I wasn’t able to finish my sentence when he cuts me off. Don’t think about it. It’s orders from up there.he mutters, turning to me just a bit from his shoulders.

I certainly did not think about it with my head heavy and my body groggy.

Ting!

The elevator door opened and the man leads me out of the club. I don’t know him and yet I know I could trust him. How? I also don’t know. I certainly am not the kind of girl who would survive a horror movie.

The man stops a cab nearby and opens the door for me. The night is cold and my body is going to give up on me soon, so I follow through, telling the driver the apartment complex I’m in.

Thank youI smile at the lurry man’s face. Just when he’s about to close the door, he leans down inside and smirks at me. He told me to tell you this,” I turn to him, narrowing my eyes to understand what he’s saying, Do that again and I’ll have you chained to your bed.he lowers his voice as if imitating someone.

A frown finds its way into my face again, Who said tha-the door closed before I could finish my sentence.

What the hell just happened?

UghI groan, running my temples as the engine roars to life and we were out of there in the blink of an eye.

Tht was one of the most fucked up nights I had.

The sunlight beams heavily through my eyelids.

I groan as I turn to the other side, my body bleak and rough. I push my eyes open and look around. I’m in my apartment. I don’t know how I got home last night.

Wait, what happened last night?

I sit up and almost immediately, nausea claws its way up my throat. My eyes widen and I immediately wriggle the sheets off my legs as I rush to the bathroom, kneeling down the bathroom floor.

I barf my guts out of the toilet. Everything in my stomach empties out. What in the world did I eat last night? Wait, did I even eat anything last night?

What the hell happened?

Flushing the toilet, I pull some tissues off the side, wiping my mouth before I push myself off the cold floor to brush my teeth. This is gross as fuck.

I’m not pregnant or anything am I?

I feel out my body all around. If someone had sex, even with all the aphrodisiac in the world to numb them down, they would still know if something has touched them. That’s the beauty of a woman’s body.

I pull my shirt to see if there are any hickeys left and a sigh leaves my lips to see none. I did not have sex, that’s for sure. But what exactly happened last night for me to have been so drunk?

Ring, ring, ring!

I look up and walks over to my phone, seeing the caller’s ID. It’s Zoe. I tap to answer. What?I answer, covering my lips as a yawn escapes. It’s around twelve, a bit passed noon.

What do you mean what?!I immediately cringe from her lud voice. I pull the phone away from my ears almost immediately. Ugh, I didn’t need this.

Stop yelling, bitch.I murmur, annoyance clearly lacing my tone.

Oh, sorry. She replies and I roll my eyes, Why are you not at work? She follows through and my brows creases. It’s a saturday.I reply and I hear her snicker from the other side of the line.

Girl, it’s monday. Look again. She mutters and my heart drops to my stomach as I glance down at the calendar again. Fuck, what?

I check my phone, tapping around to find out and my eyes widened when it lands on the actual date today.

What the hell?!I exclaim, the headache intensifying. I hear Zoe snicker on the other end of the line and I quickly tap the red button, turning it off. Throwing the phone on the bed, I rush around the apartment like a madman as I look for something to wear.
