Alicia and Andrew were having hot, passionate moments with each other until she suddenly saw Julian.

He was standing by the door and seemed to be looking at her calmly. However, there were some emotions in his eyes that he kept to himself. She could see disdain and revulsion in them, as well as some other emotions that she couldn’t decipher.

Alicia frantically pushed Andrew off. She was barely clothed when she got off the bed and ran over to Julian. Then, she begged pitifully, “Julian, this is a misunderstanding. Dr. Gabler drugged me and made me do this.”

Andrew curled his lips into a mocking grin. He slowly put on his clothes before walking out of the ward. As he brushed past Julian, he chuckled and added, “I’m just one of her many boy toys.

Julian didn’t do anything. The only thing he wanted to do now was find out if Alicia was behind the horrifying fire in the southern suburbs. Also, had she been actually ill all these years?

His expression was cold and distant. There was no intimacy to be found here.

Alicia knew that he was doubting her now, and she giggled. Then, she laughed so hard that tears streamed down her cheeks. She looked at her old flame and spoke in a soft, ghostly tone.

could be.

“You keep saying that you owed me, but all you did was send me to Grandsburg. Then, you married another woman and slept with her. What’s worse, she’s actually my half sister. What a twist!

“Catherine was nothing more than fodder. I hate that she was born in the first place. If she hadn’t existed, I would’ve been able to hog all the love and resources my parents had.

“I was aware that she loved you. So, she volunteered to be my walking blood bank. In fact, I didn’t need her at all, but I couldn’t get enough of the feeling I got when I tortured her. It was fantastic!”

Julian snarled icily, “You’re a psycho!”

“In fact, I couldn’t stand the look on your pathetic face, so much so that I wanted to kill her, just to see your heart shatter into a million pieces.”

Julian enunciated, “So, you were behind the accident that night!”

“What do you think?” Alicia let out a maniacal laugh. She even leaned close to him and whispered as if they were lovers, “Do you think I’d leave behind clues for you to dig up dirt on me? Do you expect me to make it easy for you to put me behind bars?

“Julian, you’re the one who made me into what I am today. I would have cut out your heart to see what it was made of if I could. How could you have been so ruthless?”

He immediately pinched her chin so hard that he nearly crushed it. He mercilessly threw her to the ground and laughed. So, that was all there was to it. Julian didn’t want to marry Alicia, and she’d laid out an intricate plan to get back at him.

The kidnapping was fake. She used to be a fragile but wonderful woman, but that was just her being a liar. She even got leukemia because of her own foolishness.
