Lena walked away while talking on the phone, and inside the room, Emma covered her mouth to keep herself from crying out loud. 

She knew her parents loved her very much. Even though they didn’t say anything in the store at that time, they would definitely scold her later. 

Afterwards, everyone tacitly agreed not to mention this matter. 

After having a great time in Chicago with her parents, Emma finally boarded the plane back to Seattle. 

And on the second day after Emma returned, she celebrated her twenty–sixth birthday. 

As Emma, who had been spoiled by the Corsie family since she was a child, every time her birthday came around, the whole town would set off fireworks to celebrate for her. 

Emma’s birthday party hosted by the Corsie family was particularly grand this time.

The bustling crowd chatted and laughed as they walked towards the hall.

Upstairs in Emma’s room, she was being carefully dressed by several makeup artists in her formal gown. 

The precious jewelry boxes were lined up in a row on the dressing table, with their lids open. 

The dazzling array of jewelry inside couldn’t compare to Emma’s bright eyes. 

Then her slender fingers spent a long time selecting from the row of jewelry boxes, before finally picking up a necklace adorned with red jewels and handing it to one of the makeup artists. 

“Let’s go with this one.”
